Decent app, however, it needs a bit of work. When using roku, the guide is laggy the more down you go. While watching live tv, it will sometimes revert to the beginning when switching to another live channel after play from beginning is disabled. There needs to be channel up and down buttons as I don't want to jump to the guide to go to a different channel everytime.

I've had philo since 2019 and while the price keeps going up, the quality isn't. The app takes longer to load, you can only watch shows (episodes) that haven't aired recently if you save them (possibly), all the episodes of series aren't available, and there are increasingly more ads, and the SAME ads play over and over. It's the most annoying! If I wanted to watch commercials with every show, I'd just watch antenna TV. Not sure I'll be a customer much longer with the mounting issues.

Had Philo since 2019 and every year seems to get worse. Most recently they took movies and shows and put them behind a pay wall. Used to watch the show Creepshow for instance, now I gotta pay an additional fee to get a "plus" version to watch what I used to have, on top of this horrible all black interface. No thanks. Only reason I'm keeping it is from the grandfathered pricing. Moving close to the end for me.

Used to be great all of a sudden when I start watching a SAVED show (1 hour into the 3 hour runtime) I can no longer fast forward through the ads. I used to be able to do that and basically catch up by the end of the live show. If this is not a bug (and fixed soon) I will likely cancel as I can get a cheap streaming service for the 1 show I watch that requires dealing with commercials.

Good programing but so many Ads in between shows and the length of time of the Ads 6 minutes really?? that is absolutely ridiculous. I downloaded the free trial to maybe get the monthly service but the excessive repetitive ads and the length of time of ads 5 to 6 minutes that is crazy. So sadly after the free trial I will not be subscribing.

I am very happy with Philo! Works great, wide variety of programming. It is so much cheaper than cable. Unlimited dvr. The only TINY drawback on the app is that when they updated the TV, they didn't update the mobile app to match. Very minor detail, but I'm looking forward to the mobile app being updated too.

My husband downloaded philo to our firetv app today. So far it's pretty good. I appreciate the fact the guide lists the channels in alphabetical order. My one problem is with the phone app. I downloaded it two weeks ago, intending to use the trial but decided not to. I deleted the app. Today, I downloaded it again. This time to sign in under the profile made on the account my husband created. Well the app doesn't give me the option to sign in. It keeps taking me to try free trial. How to fix?

This company is completely shady. I did the free trial and cancelled before the week was over. Then after 2 months I noticed they still billed me for 2 months even though I cancelled. When I contacted them, they stayed they showed no cancellation and I should have been notified of the charges to my email. But I never received any emails from them, I checked my junk folder also. Run away, they will make unauthorized charges. Now I have to go dispute with my credit card company. Stay away!
