A Google user

Pretty good initial results on Data Matrix. I like the idea of not showing the virtual keyboard unless activated; just scan and fill the textbox in focus. Optionally divert output from textbox to Bluetooth, then phone becomes a scanner for apps on another Android device (tablet). Helpful if the tablet is too big to get into barcode location (on back of equipment).

We're interested in buying multiple licenses but are having issues with the keyboard output not working on some devices when scanning NFC. On some devices, it works flawlessly; on others it will only output a random number of characters, or not at all if using the "all at once" behaviour. An okay app — but help with these issues would make it a great one.

Reading capabilities are inconsistent. For the same book (ISBN) it reads fast or doesn't read at all. I tested two related apps and they work consistently. Edit: Camera quality, illumination, contrast and book bar code quality were at very good conditions during my tests. But I didn't change engines. I'm sorry but I already chose another app. Hint: remove or second the engine that doesn't work in best conditions (indirect sunlight, very good barcode print).

I really like this application, but it would be even better if you could: * Auto-hide the soft keyboard by default (Because you don't need it on devices with a hard numeric keyboard, until the rare occasion you have to type text). Have an option to unhide it on pressing a parameterised hard keyboard shortcut.(eg. 1 or F1) * On reading an NFC tag, have a parametised option to not require 'Acceptance' of the tag. (ie. Automatically accept the first tag) If these two features were available, I could definitely sell this to multiple customers as a professional level solution

[[EDIT: Thanks for replying. I did as you suggested, and I also read the manual. It is amazing what this application can do!! 6 stars.]] It works really well. It would be even better if there were two additional features: 1) an option to set a default action, e.g. Scan Barcode. 2) an option to add a character at the end of the scan, e.g. return or tab. These two features will speed things up when entering bar codes into an application. I hope you will consider them for a future release.

OK, when it works. I've only used it in Chrome to enter Pokemon card codes, but most the time, it wont enter the code automatically. Another suggestion to the dev is to shrink the scanning window, similar to how inserting an image through Google's SMS app works. It feels like a smoother workflow since you aren't constantly switching screens.

Literally saves me over an hour per day typing data into work orders. I can just scan it, make maybe 2 corrections of a zero being read as an o, then done. Half a page of data entered. Just the fact that it removed the tedious data entry is so satisfying.

They want money and make it annoying to use. Plus, the auto capture sucks! Let me focus on which barcode to scan and let me hit the capture button. It's almost impossible to capture the barcode you want if several others are located around it. Find another app.
