This is my first time using this app. So far my experience has been awesome. You get a personal phone call from a representative of Trala. They get to know you, ask you about your experience and your history with the Violin. Then they match you with a teacher that fits your learning style, skill levels, and types of music you would like to play and learn. I find it very affordable for one on one lessons every week with a hand picked instructor that fits your needs. I'm super excited!

This is a great tutorial and it may seem dumb or not worth the time to cover every little nuance, point in fact or attention to detail part about the instrument, but you'd be wrong! That's what I didn't really find at the "yousician, look at me, look at all the advertising dollars I can spend..." NO that's not it! This app actually makes it feel instructor lead, where you can see his fingers and how or where he places them on the instrument. I've only had the first two lessons & already i feel

For over a year I would look at this app since it seemed good. I thought $60 was too much for an app that probably wouldn't be as great as it sounded. Finally, I just did. Hands down one of the best decision ever. I love how the app not only detects the pitch and rhythm but also shows how consistent your pressure is. Lots of great tutorials and just about everything a violin student needs. They also have teachers available for private instruction. That is an add-on and they offer packages.

Its basically what you'd expect for a "fretless string learning" app. Except.. it's also oddly worse. Be prepared to swap your bow hand or shoulder grip often as all of the video bits repeat on loop forever. You wanna hear about the same thing twice? You're going to get it. There's no pausing, either. Maybe a supplimentary app, but not worth the price for what you're getting. I'd rather find online live instruction, than pay for something that overall, will teach bad habits in the long run.

The Trala app is amazing and I love all the free educational opportunities it provides, although it is no comparison to having an actual teacher as well. the teachers are awesome and very fun to work with. I did have a problem with scoring on the app. I needed to get a certain score or higher to pass and my score was higher, but it didn't register and so I couldn't pass. However, this isn't too big a deal because you can just move on to the next lesson. I just like to get it marked done.

Looks good so far with interesting lessons that are easy to follow for a beginner with just the right amount of detail. The support staff/developers have been great about being responsive to issues I've reported and every issue has been fixed in the following update. It's not perfect yet, but it's close. Overall, I like it and it seems to be effective at teaching violin.

Honestly this app isn't up to par for charging people. I have to shut the sound off to get it to not interfere with hearing me. The visual indicators are off tempo from the actual song on the "bar style" exercise ( plz at least give the option to only do sheet music). Overall the switching between exercise types (colored bars vs sheet music) is a terrible design flaw imo.

Honestly, it's a magnificent idea, and I feel like it would be so wonderful if it actually worked. It was helping so much until the playing part started getting all wonky. The beat wasn't correct, the metronome wasn't lining up with the little blue bar, and the microphone wasn't really working that well. Again, nice thought.
