My phone type S21-Ultra When I saw the ratings 1.6. I shook my head. After a couple reviews I decided to download it. It doesn't have a ton of features. Pretty basic. But it works! Does what its intended to do and thats provide video playback without pulling the sd card out everytime you need to review a file. You can also stream to your phone for a larger display to watch if you need it. Connect to the cams Wi-Fi. Only annoyance is camera Wi-Fi can only be turned off by rebooting the camera.

This app loves to crash. It works fine to access the dash cam videos and will download & replay them fine. However when I try to do anything with the video file from my phone the app just locks up or crashes outright. It's nice that I can download the video to my phone, but kind of useless if I can't do anything with the file but play it. Having to take the memory card out to connect it direct to my comptuer makes the app pretty useless.

It works but it's pretty clunky and definitely isn't the greatest. Worked to get footage off my cam 2 days ago then wouldn't yesterday, had to reinstall it. You absolutely must disable your mobile data and turn on your phone's gps to get it to work. Why doesn't it tell you where your locally saved files are? Can't find them in my phone so what's the point. Needs some updating for sure but at least bare minimum I can download my footage.

It's difficult to use. Every time you want to view a video or change settings, it forces you to stop recording. You can't rename the SSID and you MUST connect directly to the camera to access its features. It would be great to be able to connect the camera to your home WiFi network so you don't have to toggle on the cameras WiFi and access it directly.

In order to use internet while using this app, follow these steps in order. Turn on the dashcam's Wi-Fi, turn on ✈️ mode on your phone, turn on phone's wifi and connect to the dashcam's Wi-Fi, launch ucam and browse for videos, don't close Ucam, turn off the ✈️ mode. From here, phone call and internet should be available. Plus, browsing through the dashcam can be done at the same time.

Initially was excited I had something I could post or show law enforcement, so I thought. Yesterday I got ran off the road by a school bus loaded with kids. With my Note 8 device I am having to connect wi-fi and get 20 seconds into clip and ucam app crashes. Tried downloading and crashed again. The reviews were good and gonna try a second device later .

Installed and used. A bit clunky but worked. The app is "Ucam", but the icon is "aidum" so was not as easy to find to put on desktop of my phone. The reply in Chinese is not useful because translate doesn't work in this feature. It has died. Friday the 10th it stopped booting to a screen. RMA? The power connect on the unit will disconnect just touching the cable a foot away from the head. Dissatisfaction.

For those that are having trouble: disconnect and stop auto-connect for any other wifi that your phone usually connects to. You may also have to turn off phone data because the mobile network will override the camera wifi since the phone does not detect internet connection through the camera wifi. The app works great except when receiving a text. My phone tries to display the text and the app crashes. Files go to DCIM folder. Please fix the issues - they don't keep me from using the app.
