I got pretty much what I expected for the price, so no real surprises there. And this could have been a really useful product if it had kept up-to-date with where things are! Sadly, several pieces have moved. In addition, the pointing feature doesn't work too well. You need to be right in front of the piece, which is often…very difficult in the Uffizi. I'd have gladly taken a "that might be any of these 3, please choose" over the current setup.

Most of the paintings and exibits don't have a narration. The scan feature only works for me with Bacchus of Caravaggio. I paid the 1.99 to have all the full features, but it was a waste of money, I ended up using "Lens" and searched using Google with better results. The app is good to have an idea of what to look for in this huge, beautiful gallery.

It covers 32 paintings, the main ones on each floor, a lot less than the audioguide. It was ok for my second visit of the Uffizi and I felt it was good enough. It offers approximately the same info as the audioguide. I had some problems with playing through bluetooth ear phones. I had to restart my phone a few times to make it work.

While some of the content is locked in the free version, there is still a generous amount of material available. The app offers beautifully curated images, informative descriptions of key artworks, and helpful maps that guide you through the Uffizi’s vast collection. For a free app, it greatly enhances the museum experience and is well worth downloading before your visit.

Inside the museum there is a poor signal connection and no wifi. When internet was working, the scanner to check paintings did not work. I payed the upgraded version and it was totally useless. The app what crushed the whole time when I try to play an audio, even when audios where downloaded. I do not recommend.

Cons: - To unlock further content it asks to pay. However, it does not tell you what content it is that you're unlocking - Even after paying to 'blindly' unlock all content, there are numerous painting descriptions which ARE MISSING from the app but are included in the rentable audio guide - The first floor in the app is not updated to the current layout (26-aug-2023). There are many narratives missing, but also many included of paintings that are no longer there. Pros: - Better than nothing

I guess if you are looking for a app that gives you basic info about particular pieces of art, Uffizi Gallery might do the trick. But as a tool for planning a visit, it's absolutely useless. The filtering funktionaliry is broken. After adding multiple favorites, I discovered to my dismay that they somehow disappeared. There is no floor plan. Each entry doesn't provide info on which room it's located. The list goes on. Googling stuff yields more useful info than the app.

Where the audio is available, it's useful but we had a paid version of the app and it still doesn't cover a lot. Many of the audio files cut out without proper endings. You'd be far better of renting the audio tour.
