I'm a big fan of KHOU but this app is pretty dreadful. Notifications often link to blank screens or unrelated stories. When you do get to the story, it sometimes includes a text summary, but often only a video link. And these videos don't always play easily either. If I care about the story I usually end up resorting to opening KHOU in my browser and finding it. Also the app is just loaded with adware to the extent it obscures the content. You're the best TV news in Houston, KHOU, DO BETTER!!!!!

I love almost everything about the app, but there is 1 thing that just makes me nuts when I'm trying to navigate and see the more detailed items. ADs. Now I get you need to generate some income to cover the costs of the app, but to be forced to watch the same 20 - 30 second ad every time I want to watch a clip seem a bit much. Can you find a way to let someone be tortured by 1 ad and then see 3 clips before torturing is again? What about a version where we can pay a fee for ad free?

I have used the KHOU app for years. Sadly, when they did the upgrade they apparently decided that visually impaired people didn't need to read the news. Yes they do have it so you can adjust the font in a story by one level. For someone like myself and that is only after getting to the story. The homepage and menus can't be enlarged. I did write to KHOU the app when it first came out and told them of the problem. With no reply.. I wish I could get them to help me or else I will have to uninstall

Desperately Needs An Overhaul...I was not thorough in my previous description as, I hurriedly brushed it off. (Rate app, popped up during use..irritating..). Upon further use, I have to say that the notifications are to me, useless as, when selected from the notifications bar, the app opens, but not to the topic which the notification was about in the first place. I often cannot even find the topic the notification was about. User interface not efficient either. Bad combination...fix...5 stars.

The older format was so much better. I could go directly to headlines or verify section etc Now it seems to be in complete disarray. Also I have five tablets not running the latest Droid version and am forced to uninstall At least keep the old one operational. In addition what happened to the tv listings section ? It was a good easy reference while still reading the news.

This is a great app and most of the time Keeps you informed. However my schedule doesn't always allow me to check out the live footage until later. Problem is when I go to check it later, no video is available. It would be great if you could see the footage later if you can't catch it at the moment you get the alert. Other than that altogether I am grateful this app is available.

Too many notifications. I have all notifications turned off within the app except for weather but yet I keep getting massive amounts of notifications about everything happening in houston. Im either going to have to delete the app or turn off notifications on my phone, which defeats the purpose of having a WEATHER app for severe weather.

Bring back KHOU news at noon! This app was a 4 but I can't seem to find the noon newscast anymore please add that back. Also if you could let me watch news broadcasts from a week a month a year ago etc. You know you have these archived somewhere and at one point they were on this app to watch for 24 hours. Why is it if I miss a day and want to go back and watch that newscast I can't? This app would be a 5 if you added that and added back the news at noon. Please bring back the noon newscast!!!!
