I have many questions about the product, just no where to address them. Camera quality seems really nice. Crisp and clear. We were missing a few parts and had to resort to diy fixes. With the lack of customer service, currently, the review stands at three. Perhaps if I am able to find reliable customer service, I will reevaluate the product.

This app is nearly impossible to add a family member. Invitation codes are deemed incorrect when they clearly are not. It refuses to connect to the wifi. Prompts me to change my router settings and prompts to power on the device when it is already on and recording. Update: Since yesterday when I wrote this review, Birdty no longer recognizes my wifi or device and I now need to do a complete reinstall. I'm ready to throw the whole thing in the garbage. If only I could give it zero stars!

9/16/25: The latest update erased all my past videos I had saved to my album. A whole summer's worth of hummingbirds feeding were totally wiped out! Also, despite having an SD card, now I can't go backwards in the calendar without being expected to pay for a cloud service. The app is even more clunky than before. The software was clearly written by someone who has failed in UI design.

Best view of my Hummingbirds up close and live is Amazing! I love having the capability to take live pictures & videos. Plus get notified about bird visitors and or pests. Also see the level of food, quality of the nectar, temperature and many other things in the palm of my hand on my phone from anywhere I am. Incredible.

The app is clunky, not especially user focused. One improvement that would make my experience much better is to allow us to swipe to the next video. Going from one video to the next requires 2-3 taps and keeping track of what video is next. Not a big inconvenience, but it adds up when going through several videos, and I've accidentally watched the same video again more than once.

the bird feeder itself is a very nice unit, but the software is lacking. no ability to rename the feeder, and the most recent update removed the ability to share your feeder with other users.

Several others have pointed the apps cons, there are very few pros for the app. the feeder is ok, but needs a larger platform to gather sunlight for charging. The squirrel siren is like a dinner bell!!! The siren needs to be higher pitch and multiple tones. The squirrels just sit there listening to the siren and eat all the food! Create a sound that will scare them off! Not worth spending money on subscription!

incredibly difficult app and extremely poor instructions on The Bird Feeder I would not recommend this company in any way shape or form...sharing is impossible...the set up requires guessing at every step. Stay away.
