Your currency conversion is absolutely a big mistake/rip off. I was about to subscribe for 3 months plan and it was supposed to be $24 for 3 mth. Just before I clicked confirming my purchase, it showed in my local currency (Danish Kroner), which turned out to be about $7 more expensive than the price you showed. It ended up to be $31 instead of $24!!! Otherwise i would have already subscribed by now. Too bad, you actually had good content though...

This app is one of those terrible apps that require a subscription (which is quite costly) instead of a one-time purchase, hoping to predate on people who forget to unsubscribe or simply are naive enough to pay a fortune every month. They give you a free 7 day trial without telling you that there is NO FREE version, meaning you HAVE to subscribe to have access to any (and all) content. Terrible mistake.

So far so good! I have learned through this app for almost a month and I learned a lot compared to Duolingo and other apps. It helps me to learn a language by "forcing" me to listen and repeat those phrases. The downside is there are a few mistakes in some phrases, so I hope they can fix it in the future. I'm still far from being a fluent, but I feel enjoy to learn a new language with this app. Thank you for helping me learn a new language!

Could not get the app to work so far on my phone but support are resolving this. In the meantime I am able to use a web app on my phone or laptop and I am certainly learning more useful Spanish than I was on Duolingo, where that ad featuring an annoying woman who waves a cheap led camping light about was really starting to grate. No ads here to slow you down, and for the money it is fantastic value.

I have been using Duolingo steadily for over 4 months. Never miss a day. And yes they are word counters and award givers. For anyone who has a competitive spirit, it's hard to by pass the competition. But because of that quirk I have a tendency to review, review, review. That causes new work to be ignored. High score low learning. I also have a program from Olly Richards. Great program. But you must be the type who does homework? Unless you have an extreme vocab. Optilingo is ingenious use all 3

It's impossible to change your level after creating an account. There's was a question "how much you know" (which actually is a ridiculous question, why not ask for actual level, like A2, or better yet give me a test?) and options "not much", "some" and "a lot", I chose the first one and it ended up too boring for me. Also I didn't find where to fast-forward the audio. But then, I deleted it after five minutes

I found this app from a holier than thou beat down post about Duolingo, which focussed heavily on Duolingo just being poorly translated and often not grammatically or colloquially correct. What's hilarious is that *the very first lesson* clearly is using AI voices with a translator, rather than what actual Spanish speakers would say, which means it is doing exactly what it accuses Duolingo of! I learned from native speakers for years and just wanted to brush up, but not from this app!

I really enjoy using Optilingo - the focus on listening and repeating is different to other apps which focus on reading and typing. I particularly like the use of phrases as opposed to single words - you get introduced to tenses and plurals in useful sentences without having to drill conjugations and endings outside of context. A great complement to apps like Memrise (another fave of mine). PS - had to contact via email to get my app working - Jonty was really quick and professional in sorting.
