The dawn of a new hero!

A thousand years ago, a great battle ensued between two dragons, one gold and the other silver, where they were sealed away. However, the real tale begins many centuries later after the Silver Dragon reawakens, and launches an assault on a frontier village in the far north.

There, a royal knight by the name of Lucas serves as a guard after being relegated to the rural and much isolated location by the King. Yet, little does he know he is, in fact, a descendant of the hero, Alaric, who once sealed the Gold and Silver Dragons in human form. Nonetheless, when tragedy strikes, he soon finds his place, and after teaming up with a band of unlikely companions, sets out on an adventure to save the world.

This game is a cute as heck JRPG with a whole lot of charm and a unique leveling system. I'm having a blast with it and I'm really not that far in. It goes so far to ask you to write a review through all of the characters arguing how to ask you to do it, it's adorable and shines through with their each unique characters. I'm loving it so far, others should definitely try it if you like RPG games. It also doesn't ask for money like some others, it's completely free and guiltless.

Fun and easy going RPG (on normal mode). Review event was funny but maybe next time don't suggest the smashing head on a rock bit since that might be too violent for some. Love that there's no ads and I can play this offline. Grinding is not too much too. Wish there was more exploration aside from 2 ways.

Kemco is typically hit or miss. Some of their RPGs are very substandard. Others are only slightly better. But they have had their moments. Dragon Lapis isn't perfect, but what it aims to be, it most succeeds. This is very much a mix of 8 and 16 bit era JRPGs. Think Dragon Quest with a sprinkle of Final Fantasy. It is good for a timepasser. As well, the characters make things a little more interesting. Thankfully the creators didn't make it completely true to form. Good work here though.

Good game with classic RPG mechanics. I feel it's almost ruined by the LPP and "lottery" system giving access to ridiculously powerful equipment (same with their "coin exchange" but to a lesser extent). But the real negative is having the personification of a thousand-year-old dragon act like a brain-damaged "why I oughta" Popeye-style cartoon character trapped in a child's body. It's extremely off-putting.

So far very enjoyable. Game has that old school Final Fantasy style and game play. The dialog will make you smirk here n there. Sprite design is good, not great, but good. I plan on finishing this one, will update when that happens.

The plate system is a fun and unique way of leveling up your character. The characters are fun. The point and click movement auto-pathing is terrible. It frequently paths me through doors or cities. The menu is annoyingly high and in the way.

A quirky throwback to the 8-bit era. A little more instruction could be nice but isn't quite necessary. Great characters with fun dialog. Game play is what you would expect. Very good music with a nice atmosphere.

Great game, but the dialog is way too drawn out. And interrupts play at random times. Seems like it's supposed to be cute. But it is so long you just end up tapping quickly for 5 minutes straight just to skip.
