게임 방법
먼저 말을 준비하고 주사위 하나를 굴려 그 수만큼 더하여 해당하는 칸에 전진하는데, 뱀을 만나면 뱀을 따라 내려가고, 사다리를 만나면 사다리를 타고 올라간다. 그리하여 칸의 끝까지 도달하면 이긴다. 대신 칸의 끝 뒤쪽의 2칸은 정확히 끝칸에 해당하는 수열이 나와야지 이길 수 있다
