Updated 24/11/18 Changed from 1 star to 5 stars I received emails from support team offering various ways to resolve the problem. They thought it was phone/Android related. Unfortunately none of their fixes worked. But they did just email me the phrasebook and that worked ok. Sometimes the simple solutions are best! Original post: I cannot find the phrasebook, although it says it has downloaded.

It really does work!! As I've got older, I've discovered my retention of new languages is not what it was! Earworms has changed that and made two very difficult languages...Mandarin and Russian somewhat easier to learn and interestingly retain. I've been very impressed by the app. It is far better and easier than any previous attempts or subscriptions I've had. Maria in support service has also been wonderful. Highly recommended both the app and the support.

A great concept, I have one of their courses on CD from years ago, so I was pleased to see they now have an app. I bought the Greek course to prepare for a holiday, but I'm really disappointed by the app user experience. I'm unable to download the accompanying pdf, and the app will not run in the background. I had hoped to listen to the course while driving but when trying to use alongside Google Maps, playback seems to randomly stop, or skip tracks, so I'm not able to use it as intended.

Each of the three units provided will cost you £11.99 (each)! A 7-minute track from one of the three is provided as a free demonstration of basic conversational phrases, repeated a great deal in both the target and the user's language, while very distracting jazz music plays quite loudly in the background! But psychological studies have proven that hearing music whilst studying only SPLITS focus and brain-power, and thereby DECREASES learning. There is no magic bullet to replace hard graft!

I'm learning Italian using this app and it's by far the best app or book or anything I've found so far. The combination of music, pleasant voices, useful phrases and repetition makes me want to play it over and over so that the phrases really sink in. Their customer service is brilliant too - I had to contact them to get the pdf phrasebook although these should be automatically provided soon as they are updating the app.

Exactly what I was looking for. The use of rhythm and musical patterns helps me remember. Plus hearing the words spoken clearly and used in different ways is making it easy to recall and trust myself to use them in real life. Plus, the support team is great. The printed word part of the App that goes with the audio stopped when Android pushed an update, They engaged well when I reported the issue, kept me informed even when there were unexpected delays (like being locked out of the office by Covid :-D ). The problem is now fixed and I am moving full steam ahead.. P.S. Hi Team is there any change of a 4th volume for German any time soon ? (can I pre order it so that it gets to me ASAP ?)

The best way to learn simple useful phrases for a holiday. I'd tried many of the better known apps and made little or no progress. With this app I had some useful language skills in just a few weeks. I was asked a number of times if I was portuguese while on holiday and praised for my pronunciation. Volume 3 does unravel a bit with some irrelevant scenarios and a lot to take on board with grammar and vocabulary. It almost feels as though you're not expected to reach this stage. Support v good

This app is amazing and makes learning fun! I've learned more in 5 minutes than the last 2 weeks with other (much more boring) apps. Highly recommend this way of learning languages for anyone, no matter if it's for a holiday or to quickly become conversational with native speaking friends/family.
