After trying different apps, some much larger and with more options, settled on Fossify Messages. The design across apps is a very nice idea, but is not taken far enough. Like it seems that the same text size means different things in the different apps. And I would be even happier if in all the apps the coloured circles for the photo, or with letters in it, was removable, as it is in the Fossify Address Book. Am hoping that that feature will come.

Fantastic hassle free sms app! I was using "chomp sms"! for years, and after the last update, msgs stopped coming through, despite installing/reinstalling, resseting settings etc. So I was looking for a simple sms app, and found this! Simple, Fast, Customizable, notification dot still works!! and most importantly no delay or messages not arriving anymore! Everything works smooth and fast, a fantastic app which saved me from having to possibly factory reset my 📱 Thank you very much ☺️

Really basic SMS app. I can't see any features not in the default Google app. when using dual SIM it only lists SIM number 1 and 2 and does not use the system names to differentiate. both my Sims are on the same network so it's not useful. I would have hoped it could at least categorise senders or provide some sort of sorting functionality.

I switched to Fossify Messages for SMS a few months ago. So far I haven't had any problems. It works and I like it. I do have a few minor niggles though. 1. It doesn't handle multi SIM any better than Google Messages did. I can't view just the messages from one SIM. 2. I can't click on a phone number in an SMS to dial it. I have to select it and then copy and paste. 3. I can't pinch to zoom text when reading a message. If these minor things get fixed I'll give it a 5 star rating.

The app fails to send images, instead displaying a "sending" message that lingers indefinitely. It can remain stuck on this status for days, prompting users to eventually delete the message. As a result, many find themselves only able to send text messages, rendering the app ineffective for sharing images.

Installed, some convos marked unread, couldn't set them as read, opening convos caused app to crash. Reinstalled, can open convos now but crashes on sending. Disappointing :/ Update: restarted, reinstalled, mostly working now. Some convos still randomly bold (unread? but no green dot like last time) and I can't change it, but I can send and receive. - Update 2: failed again. Can't send msgs or change read status, reinstalled, couldn't load any msgs, phone crashed, reinstalled, still no. I tried!

I was using two SIM Cards for different Networks. This has that feature of switching before sending the message. Looks simple. No fuss, no annoying customization features that do not add anything to the functionality, though I made the app color change to a specific color for the ease of searching through my apps. REALLY GREAT! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

use to love this app. after last night's update 10/20/25, open app in Samsung S25 ultra, type sms, press send arrow and app freezes up. after restarting phone, uninstall and reinstall app. multiple times. nothing helps. can't use app, will not receive or send sms.
