YouTube TV for my Android phone is very difficult to navigate. The on-screen menu and the scheduled recordings do not go far enough into the future so you can plan what to record. The app on my smart tv, however, is constantly freezing and I have to restart and unplug it at least twice a day particularly if I been watching football games on Saturday and Sunday and switching between games. It has a wonderful TV lineup but it's still glitchy as hell.

It's below average. I can watch football in multiview. That's one thing, but when it comes to baseball or basketball, especially when it comes to the Cleveland guardians/cavaliers, that's a problem. I'm not paying $70/month to watch only NFL/college football. I want to watch the NBA/NCAA basketball games as well. Also, we just bought the NBA streaming service through YouTube TV, and it's a sh*tshow. Get it together. Very 😞 and I'm recommending to everyone not to get YouTube TV.

Very glitchy on many features. 1. When doing multiview the audio does not change when I select a different square while casting to my google cast. 2 If I close our the app while watching a show and then reopen later it come up with audio and a distorted video. 3. when trying to find episodes of shows they sometimes show out of date order so I can't find newer episodes on shows sometimes. 4. I bought NBA league pass and now the app won't sync to my subscription

The service itself is good, but the Android app fails to do the most basic things reliably. It often plays a totally different show when you select one. Or it will play the right one, but change as soon as you cast it. Lately, it's started to play from the beginning when you select "join live." Just constantly buggy and frustrating to use.

YouTubeTV'S Mobile app for Android has an issue with it's onResume method that prevents video from showing while it's playing. On every android device that I use it on it's the same issue, so I think it needs a code fix. Only when I force close the app and restart it does the video show. It's especially annoying that this has been going on for at least a year and it can't even work correctly on Google's own devices such as my Google Fold.

Update yesterday restored the static splash screen which works better and app opens faster. Now the update that literally just happened minutes ago reversed it back to the animated splash screen and again I'm getting a Android droid icon instead with a laggy YouTube TV animated logo. Why?? Why do we need a animated splash screen? We don't. We really don't. If it does anything it makes me not want to have this app downloaded if it's gonna cause issues with it. Restore the static splash screen!

I used to love YouTube TV, but cancelled for cost related reasons in 2022. Decided to try again in Oct 2024, and the app has become so difficult to navigate I cancelled immediately. It's impossible to tell what content you have, vs what is a subscription add on. Using the app on Google TV is nearly impossible as well, without a dedicated guide button you have to scan through 1 channel at a time. YouTube TV IS BUSTED AND AN OVERPRICED ADVERTISEMENT FOR OTHER PAID APPS!

Every single time you close the app and try to go back in you get a black screen. Sound but no picture. You then have to fully close the app and go back in. Then with recordings I've had multiple times where it won't let you fast forward it just starts at the beginning and you need to keep closing the app and restarting before it works properly. Amazing how much they have charged us more for a worse off product.
