Updated 1/12/2020: Good product. Incomplete and misleading instructions. Here's what you need to know: Turn on both Bluetooth and Location (GPS). To pair, hold bottom of switch until light blinks, launch app, press SCAN button, follow instructions. To change, stand next to switch, launch app, select device from menu. If you set an offset time on a previously Scheduled Event, when you edit it, it may display a different offset. I set -0:14, it came back as -2:22. Just correct & re-save.

I downloaded Bluetooth app 1.4.20v. Could never get it to connect. I called Leviton support, they had deemed the switch had a problem and to return it. I returned the switch and purchased a new one and it will not connect either. I tried 4 different Android devices with the required Bluetooth and Android system and still was unable to ever get it to connect. I can connect to anything I own that is Bluetooth related except this switch. Story Moral; check how much dust is on the box before purchase

Adding my voice to the choir here. I also have a Leviton Bluetooth switch that this app is unable to connect to. I know that the bluetooth functionality of the switch is working well because i have two iPhones (6s & 5s) that can both pair with the switch and operate it without any issues. When is the Android app going to be fixed?

Why not make the app updates backward compatible with your "older" products? The Bluetooth switch I bought only about 2 years ago is no longer compatible with the app update. When I spoke with my developer friends they tell me that it is very easy to do so. Please put that little extra effort in your next update even if the app is a bit larger in size--phones these days can handle it. Thanks.

I believe I got the app to work properly for exterior lighting. It seemed it had stopped working on certain days. But texted support and were helpful in getting me to troubleshoot. I don't know why some days are turning off on their own. May be due to other switches I have in the house. I hope their app will be secure. And not get confused with other switches we have.

This app worked very well with my old LG V10 running Android 6.x. Now, with my Samsung Galaxy S9 running Android 8.0, it will not connect at all. Whatever bugs you fixed, it doesn't show. I should add that this app used to work very well, and, if this S9 would connect at all (it's never been able to connect), it would still be a good app. However, you should make sure that people know that the new version of the app requires location services to be turned on (it otherwise says that Bluetooth is turned off--even if it's on) for it to even scan for the devices it still can't find. Even if the connectivity is an issue on Samsung's end, some communication as to what's going on would be appreciated. You guys would have a solid product on your hands if it would just work.

Well it used to work fine, and the power went off, so it was out of sync with the time, so I went to fix it and noticed the app had updated, and now it won't recognize my device! I tried syncing it several times with my phone literally touching the device, but it wont sync! Can I somehow get the older version of the app? Any help is appreciated, because if I cant sync it I might as well use a regular switch! Which makes this an expensive regular dimmer switch with no connectivity!!

It only works with iOS; my android phones have never connected. I had to use someone else's phone to set it up initially, but it went off schedule. I finally emailed the support to ask how to make it work with Android and no response. I had hoped that in time they would figure out how to make the app functional on android. The app is useless if it can't find the switch, and the switch is useless without a way to set it. Disappointed.
