Great app in many ways. I like the new ability to turn my retainers. Very nice. I don't like being charged for a service that is otherwise free. It makes you look greedy. I believe the monthly cost of app and FF14 is enough already...

Kind of pointless in it's current state. While it has small things that can be considered helpful, the app's insistence on microtransactions make it not worthwhile. You already need a subscription to the game to even use the app in the first place, so having to pay to reliably use the features you are downloading the app for in the first place is a turn off.

The app is great in concept but essentially useless unless a lot of extra money is spent by the user. Not happening when I already pay $15/month. You get 1 kupo nut per day, but can only carry a maximum of two. As even base subscribers can have up to 40 items listed on the market, the nut limit is just too low and mog coin cost is too high. Monetizing convenience is one thing, but this app is clearly designed to fish for market whales.

The recent update adding the ability to complete and reassign retainer ventures via the app is really nice, the only problem is that you can only reassign them to level based ventures and not quick explorations or the longer ones that take 18 hours (I forget the name of them). This feature would be perfect if they added those options as I do not currently see any way to do so from within the app.

It works exactly what I use it for. I'm trying to level up my retainers, so having the ability to send them on ventures when not logged in is nice. My only gripe is that the retainers won't level up through the app, you have to log in for them to level up. I haven't used any other feature of the app yet.

The app features are great but the price you pay for what you get in-game isnt worth it. You can buy two retainers and get more space for your money. Sorting inventory after I log out of the game is fun but ot worth an additional 5 bucks a month on top of my sub fee. Maybe if you could do more with the app it'd be worth it, but as it is now its wortg maybe 3 bucks a month. Definitely not 5.

With the release of dawntrail they finally added the option to allow us to send retainers out on ventures. Along with more customization options, and inventory mangement. An absolutely massive QOL improvement and, IMHO, vastly justifies the premium subscription cost that makes the saddlebag storage, extra retainer, kuponuts and functionalities much more appealing.

so far its "OK" being able to post items on the market board should be free after paying for the sub. As for using it for inventory management, its amazing. however, it needs to auto stack items. It needs a lot of work. Need to be able to start ventures, look at bounty board, etc... Updated: Kupo nuts are dumb.
