The app has 6 daily of differing difficulty. You can ask for a hint if stuck. There is an engine where you can try out things you thought would work to see your error. The puzzles use various patterns, so you'll likely learn something. The puzzles aren't strictly puzzles (aka only one move that wins). Sometimes, 2+ win and you need to find the best move. This makes the puzzles feel different than real puzzles but in a good way. You feel more like you're playing a match due to this.

What I like is that the puzzles seem hand-picked or perhaps hand-crafted. Occasionally this means there's a good move (one that wins +3 according to the engine) but there's a better one that wins the game much more convincingly (say +10). Those are situations where if you see a good move, you should look for a better one. It also means that you'll have a fulfilling ending to your puzzle (unlike lichess' puzzles that sometimes leave your thinking: now what?)

So far it starts fast, the puzzles are decently organized into three difficulties, they seem to be sourced from real games, or atleast aren't too contrived, they are chosen well for learning (not always fancy sacrifices), and generally things work good. EDIT:I found out there's an easy engine analysis button too, that's awesome. It's a little annoying that if you make the "right" move you can't choose your opponents move. :)

Overall, pretty good. The easy ones are usually quite easy (for me) and the hard ones are usually at least a little challenging, although that is a bit uneven. When the puzzle is said to be a "mate in X moves" I frequently find that it takes fewer moves. And that is accounting for useless piece sacrifices that are only delaying the inevitable. I would learn more if I could try alternative moves by the opponent when I make the "right" move. I wanted to complete this, but I am out of space.

It provides different levels of puzzles (Easy, Medium, and Hard) and will even give you daily puzzles to work on. Some of the puzzles are to checkmate in a certain number of moves or find the best available move. Overall, the puzzles are helpful, but frequently there will be a puzzle that is not accurate. For example, one puzzle said "White mates in 4," but the game failed to realize the opponent's rook could easily take my Queen, which would thwart the checkmate.

Best chess puzzle app I have ever played. Puzzles are of varying difficulties, there are daily puzzles as well as 300 extras, and flexible options. I like that you have to come up with the right move at each step instead of just the right first move, and also it allows you to manually play through moves further after the puzzle is solved. Plus there are hints, and an AI to analyze moves.

Excellent App. Been playing this for over a year. Sometimes I go a couple days without playing, other times I may play up to 10 or 15 puzzles a day. Wish I had this when I was younger and more active in chess and tournaments. Tactics can make a huge difference between being being a Class A player or a strong Expert. Or an Expert and a Master. If you have a good position, learn how to convert it into a quick, decisive win. I like the progress feature, where you watch your rating grow.

The games is smooth and is more than a "just the tactics, ma'am" tactics practice game. On the tactics that don't end in mate, you can play out the game against the engine. I highly recommend finding your own moves in lieu of those suggested by the engine, but many of those will concur as your skill level improves. I started playing during March 2020(COVID-19 lockdown) with no training other than a few tutorials, and now I'm a solid 1450 elo. It's mentally stimulating in ways hard to duplicate.
