It works, but it's only useful if you already have a strong knowledge of Go. Out of all the apps I've tried this one is one of the least beginner friendly. If you don't do exactly what the computer wants it only tells you "Wrong!" and refuses to elaborate, let alone play any further, even if your move is perfectly fine. At least it's actually free to play though and offers a lot of content without paying. Only get this app if you're already an experienced player.

I'm not very good at Go, but the problems offered by this application are very interesting. They help to understand this game better. One thing that I miss after using it for extended time - clear definition of rules used in solving problems. For example, quite a few have a solution that ends in Ko and it is not clear, why this could be a solution.

Perfect for people who already play go and understand the rules. I use the app daily and have become a strong go player. Life and death problems are only a small part of the game of go, without knowledge of the whole game, the problems make little sense. This in no way diminishes the app. A brilliant app to deepen the knowledge of the game of go.

150 free problems and a one-time all-access purchase option. Lovely, because I hate subscriptions. Solid simple app. 6 new problems every day. Could only be better if the difficulty indication was more precisely given in kyu/dan level, instead of 'beginner', 'elementary', 'easy', 'basic', 'intermediate', 'hard' and 'advanced'. Also some problems end very soon, so it is not always clear why the current board is the solution.

Good puzzles but lots of small issues that make the app annoying to use. These could be easily fixed! 1. Can't add favourites if it's a daily puzzle 2. Can't add favourites if it's in a "progress" session 3. If I accidentally go back and leave the "progress" session, there's no way to find the puzzle again. This happens a lot when I've made a mistake and I want to try again to find the solution. There are also some strange issues with menu icons showing twice sometimes, but this isn't so bad.

Tsumego Pro is a great app with well-designed problems, but it could benefit from an essential improvement. It should allow users to explore alternative patterns during play. In certain scenarios, visualizing every possible move mentally is challenging, and having the option to experiment with different opponent placements would enhance the learning experience.

Great app with a few issues. The difficulty of problems are not consistent with other problems at the same rank. There are some problems it will say you got wrong just because you didn't fill equally viable liberties in the right order or you use a different sequence with no point difference from the "correct" solution. I wish it had a thumbs down feature for problems like other sites so you know to skip problems with issues. Overall I find the difficulty to be higher overall than other apps.

The puzzles are fairly standard, but still very useful for recognizing shapes and improving your game. The ranking system is fun to play with, and the puzzles with multiple solutions let you check each of them which alsi helps you improve. The biggest ptoblem, and the only thing keeping this app from a five star rating, is the fact that the puzzle selectiin is very limited unless you put money into it.
