It worked for a while. Now it just keeps disconnecting at random times. Worse than that, there is no notification when it disconnects. If the claim is to monitor my electrical system for potential fire hazards, the data has to be Rock solid. Anything less compounds the hazard by providing a false sense of security

We have one and today noticed that one of our plug pins was almost melted due to an electrical malfunction. I don't understand how this went undectes by something that is supposed to be monitoring all the electrical functions through our house. If I could, I would share pictures of the plug-in. The only thing it detects of full blown power outages and internet loss.

We have two sensors, two different locations. Installation about 3 minutes each, ridiculously easy. App just works. 24 hour voltage range display as well as real time. No comment about problem detection since (thankfully) we haven't had any. My only minor complaint: location displayed at the top. To toggle between multiple locations, you need to click which brings up a list then click again to select new location. I continually swipe down expecting app to automatically cycle to next...

I understood the reasoning behind Ting, but over a year, I never had any feedback that I had an issue. Yes, I received monthly recaps, but as long as I can watch TV, use my computer, and have lights, I don't care about my voltage spikes. Last week, I had AT&T upgrade my router. It was 8 years old and "should be upgraded every 3-5 years." Suddenly, I received several messages from Ting that I had an issue with because my sensor had lost its Internet connection. Now I appreciate their response.

Easy to install. This is a great tool to identify potential electrical fire hazards. It is hands-off. You get an alarm only if there's a detected electrical issue. This device looks for arcing, measures voltage, and tracks harmonics. Once a week, you get a status email with a tip on electrical fire safety tips. Overall, the app is easy to use. I believe in this devise enough to purchase it for family members.

Overall, the app works pretty well. I wish it was possible to disable low-temp and high-temp alerts for **individual locations/sensors**; I have one installed in a summer cabin. I realize those alerts can be turned off globally, that's not what I want though. I want them on for my house, but off for the summer cabin.

Love the app. Very simple to install and set up. Nothing to do with it afterwards. You can check the app to see your power quality. It will alert you if it sees a problem. Does use your home wifi to communicate back to hq. Just find an out of the way outlet you'll never need, indoors because it will alert to temp extreme readings. Otherwise you won't know it's there. You can get weekly reports. Check status immediately if wanted. I find mine to be 121v average. Typical low is 116 and 123 for hi.

I was notified on a Sunday via email, text, and phone reference an arching in an outlet. Ting provided information and provided an excellent electrician to solve this issue. Electrical fires that can start in the walls are very scary. Having this system is very valuable, and the ongoing support provided by Ting is invaluable.
