this application is meant to work as a client for opengts™ - open gps tracking system (http://opengts.sourceforge.net/)

opengts™ (”open gps tracking system”) is the first available open source project designed specifically to provide web-based gps tracking services for a ”fleet” of vehicles.

1) this app captures the geolocation data and sends the information to opengts - gprmc server in nmea format.
2) this application saves the data locally in the absence of network connectivity and uploads to server when the connectivity is re-established.
3) the server, account, vehicle id, refresh interval etc. can be configured as per your needs
