Initially I was blocked from downloading in the playstore while in Japan, but I found the SDK and downloaded the app. I thought the app was great, the most difficult part was no translation option for English, so I'd have to screen shot and use OCR with Google, the overall experience, cost and ease of use is superior - and to be honest, faster than taking JR or metro! Can't wait to use it again in November! Good job developers!!!

Extremely slow UI even on fast WiFi on a 2023 flagship phone. The lag often results in failed bookings if a parking space or vehicle is available when you click to book but it gets taken by the time the app actually sends the booking request. If you're lucky enough to get the booking, half the time the vehicle is not at the parking lot.

Luup is a great idea but has 3 main issues : it's too expensive and the stations are often 'full' which means you can't park at your intended destination. Combine that with how slow traffic moves in Japan as they havent invented smart traffic lights yet (so you spend too much time waiting for red lights.) Youre almost always better off taking public transport.

The app is available in English... except when it randomly isn't, like on the test to unlock escooters! (Use a second phone with camera translation, most of the questions are pretty obvious, there's also a guide you can read). Also if you try to leave feedback, I just chose random answers and hoped I wasn't reporting nonexistent damage I'd done. The pedal bikes are nice, pretty effortless to ride except on the steepest hills. Not sure I like the stand-up scooters much, those tiny wheels!

If it works, the service is very convenient and great to use. No matter what I did though, when trying to start a ride on my Google Pixel 8 pro, it was extremely buggy, took forever to load every single step and sometimes even didn't load at all.

Should be a great app but keeps saying I'm not in the region. I contacted services and they said uninstall and do loads of things. It works for 5 minutes then stops again, useless sadly as they would be great to use in Japan!

Bookings fail. Often book a luup only to find theres no vehicles at the spot. App glitchy and slow. No option to cancel subscription in the app. No customer support

Lost 200 yen due to an issue with the vehicle. Support apologized but refused to refund the money. It's such a small amount of money, was it really worth the 1 star review? Hope so, cause that's what you're getting :)
