Overall, it was a great experience. The only inconvenient part is that i had to disable my firewall to allow the connection, and my photo was sent as a .heic file, so I had to use gimp to export it as a .jpg file so I could upload it, but overall, it's an easy and useful program that I highly recommend.

Doesn't work on Android 12. Fails to even start. Used to work fine. Update: the fix is effective and this app works again, I am happy to say. Update: doesn't work with Mint 20.3. It connected this time, but couldn't send any data from phone to Linux box, although I did accept the permission request. The Linux box firewall is turned off. Update: Now it works. A couple of restarts of the app and the Linux box, and a phone restart may have done it. Thanks for your help slowscript.

This android port is great. But I have issue, I can send files to my computer, but can't recieve. The app asks for access to storage, though I press 'Allow Access to SD Card/internal storage multiple times, the same windows repeatedly keeps prompting and the app never accepts the permission to download location(folder/path). So, I never could recieve files to the phone.

Works well, a very clean and simple layout. If you're having trouble connecting to your desktop you'll want to open whatever port you're using to communicate (default is 42000) on your desktops firewall. A simple message noting this when a failed connection occurs would probably be pretty useful. Other than that I have no complaints.

Updated 2023: I quit trying to use this thing. It's great idea but simply waste of time trying to get it to connect reliably. I wish it works better and maybe I try it again in the future. Regardless, thank you for the hard work of developers and Linux Mint team. Old post: Great! Some minor issues connecting at times but usually simple and fast. My router is getting old, causing a variety of issues, so I blame that.

File transfers are fine, if only it could connect to the other device reliably I would rate it 5 stars. Sometimes it connect at once, many other times it fails to detect the other device, it shows null@[otherdevice]. I transfer frequently between devices and I would love to use it as my main transfer app. I hope it gets fixed soon.

This is a BRILLIANT transfer tool. Transferring files from one device to another was never easier or faster. And all it takes is for this app to be installed on both devices and for those devices to be in the same network. Holding the floating send button even allows the transfer of entire folders. AMAZING!!! Developer response time is also excellent. Good work!

For the first few months I didn't have 100% success getting the app to see my Linux computer or vice versa, but in the last couple months it seems to work all the time. As soon as the app is open on both devices, they see each other and I can easily transfer (copy) pictures and videos from the phone to the computer. I just long-press the file I want to share, tap the share icon, and choose Warpinator from the list. Haven't tried sending files from the computer to the phone, nor other file types.
