Having learned 5 languages (English, Latin, Greek, Italian, and french) on an advanced level, I find the randomness and repetitiveness of the early stages of this app very helpful. If you can understand grammar and syntax in your native language, you'll probably find that vocabulary is the hold up in learning any new language and this method deals with that very well. More to come as I advance more.

Nice user experience. Better than I expected. Somehow the first time I tried it I didn't stick with it long enough. May increase rating once it gets beyond flash card mode. ... Six months later .... It doesn't get beyond flash card mode. And its streak system is seriously demotivating. Also, it's summer in NZ, where pretty much 200% of Māori learners live and there is maybe one ice hockey team in the country - cultural imperialism?

I really like this app, heaps of fun and I like the 5min limit. Great as a beside tool to more formal learning. My one gripe, the notifications don't work. I really want a daily reminder (or even better, a notification when the next 5mins avail), but, despite all settings correct, no notifications. When giving feedback within the app on this, no response or correction. I'd give a 5⭐ review if/when this is sorted.

love the way is think of, 5 minutes is nice and repetition helps I'm doing te reo, but want something more to start building vocabulary. love the lifetime subscription as is easier for me and glad to help

I'm impressed! I've been Drops to learn my native populations language. 8 days later, I have vocabulary of over 80 words. As someone with a Duolingo streak of over 2000 days, I can certainly reccomend this app. It uses human phycology to find the best ways to train your brain and I find that even the most difficult words are learnt very quickly!

signed up to do the free trial.. somehow got billed for a year straight away.. google won't refund. Kinda gutted as a poor solo parent. I am learning te reo through polytech for my daughter and thought this might be a great top up. I wouldn't have paid for the year, though as I don't think the learning style suits me. But I guess I have to try make it work 😩

this app let me pay for a lifetime twice!!! I may have to cancel some Google subscriptions if I do not get the second payment back

Good app however, I would like to know if this app does sentence structure to enable social communication before I subscribe. It is vital for people who which to speak te reo to get the sentence structure correct.
