Not only do the batteries need to be recharged every 30-60 days, but the app is useless and very buggy. The app has only worked for me a few times and we've had the shades for over a year.

keep working on it, folks. this app really doesn't work. usually doesn't connect even when next to shades.

Registered OK and paired with my shade instantly without any issues that other people complained about. I have one simple roller shade just with up/down function. I haven't tried advanced functions but this app is good for my simple use.

1. It almost always gets stuck on the loading screen after opening the app, if you haven't used it in a few hours or days. To fix involves clearing all its data, logging in again, then sometimes having to close out of the app again to get the gateway to appear after yet again opening the app. Once that's done, it seems to work okay. 2. The button to raise the shade when setting the upper limit actually lowers the cellular shade instead of raising it. The lowering button works correctly. So, there's no way to really set the limit using the app.

Yesterday I gave this app 2 stars, today I would give it zero if I could. After attempting to go through setup on my and my husband's Android phones and failing multiple times due to a variety of error messages in the app, thankfully we were able to dig an old iPhone up and complete setup on the iOS app. I don't think anyone is testing this app to confirm the setup flow works. Awful experience.

Buyer beware! Only works on 2.4ghz and not 5ghz. So in my case, I have a Netgear Orbi Mesh set up with my router. It will only use one or the other (2.4 or 5), but not both. So even if I go through the hassle of switching it to 2.4, then all devices in my house would have to run on 2.4 as well. Lazy developers in that it won't work with 5ghz. They apparently don't share this tidbit with installers before they sell this piece of junk. That was $600.00 thrown down the drain. Wonderful!

terrible app. it's all messed up. installed shades might disappear in the app or more than 10+ duplicates might show up for no reason. and you cannot fix it by deleting them. many step by step instructions are confusing or not clear at all. whoever wrote the app probably never try to use it. I would gave no star if it's allowed.

Can't setup app after a remote is already paired to the shades. These are for 2nd story 10ft tall windows that the installers spent 4 hours programming to the remote! There's no reasonable way to then unpair them from the remote to pair them to the app AND have the remote. Who in their right minds would give up their phone for 4 hours to pair to the app? Also! Clearly the instructions didn't tell the installers that this would be a problem and that they should have paired them to the app instead
