Update: company is defunct. App no longer syncs & gives server error and can't download data; all lost 2 issues: privacy and reliability. If the wrist sensor runs out of battery I can only resync auto sleep monitoring by uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Sleep data can't be collected until I do that. Privacy: the selection to only use GPS while only using the app will NOT allow the app to connect in spite of the app starting you can via the typical warning "may be degraded performance".

The hardware is good and seems quite accurate. But the app is absolutely horrible. It always silently quits in the background, frequently won't sync even when open. This causes you to end up sometimes days behind or with a dead wristband on doing nothing with no notice to you. The data is good, as is the visualization, but they need to work on the data transfer.

Overall, LOVE my Biostrap. As with any technology, there are occasional glitches and hiccups, but support has always been very responsive and generally helpful. Anyone expecting perfection or zero problems with technology that is constantly evolving and improving is either ignorant or impossible to please. While I've had a few issues here and there, I've been very happy with the overall experience and highly recommend it to my family, friends, and members at my gym.

UPDATE: App syncing is awful. I've selected the option to background sync every 10mins and even with the app open syncing freezes. Often have to close, reopen and hope for the best! Great data.. when it works. App quick to show sleep states when connecting to device but everything else (HR, SPO2, HRV, Resp) takes so long to display. Data processing should not take this long, why is client-side processing not available? Amazing sleep and health tracker but is limited by poor app functionality.

I am a long time user of biostrap. I have the full package, however I would strongly advise against purchasing. The sync time is excessive, I'm not particularly impressed with its accuracy or metrics. I attempted to sync today and the app just crashes. Update 07/12/2020: At this point its not even usable. The app just crashes, I've uninstalled and downloaded again multiple times now. I can't record workouts or sleep because of this, making the data unreliable. DON'T BUY, run far away!

Great tracking, except I'm VERY disappointed that they took a free feature and made it a subscription: the meditation tracking, whereas before it was free to track for however long you wanted to meditate, now it's capped at 30 minutes. You have to buy a subscription to track for longer than 30 minutes. I understand adding extra features within a subscription, but I'm disappointed when free features are taken away into a subscription fee.

I want to love this product, but they make it so hard! Won't log my sleep, doesn't automatically log activities like a $20 wrist strap can do... the HRV is great, but if it takes 10 minutes to sync - or doesn't sync at all - and the wrist straps break after a month of use... it's hard to say it's worth the money I've invested in it.

Device is actually only useful if: 1. You sync multiple times per day, but the device forces you to reset your Bluetooth every time so the advertised "automatic" sync doesn't work 2. You never let the battery go below 20%, as it stops recording or syncing etc etc 3. You don't mind that occasionally your data just gets corrupted or doesn't sync or just gets lost by thr co 4. Android app is buggy and crashes a lot
