Suggestion- Maybe add an option to see which words other players found? People may wanna pass around within the same day when stuck. Also, bringing in stuff like shuffle, single tap erase button, and a quick peek/link to word meanings would be good additions. Ofc the size of the app needs to be kept in check as well for the suggested add ons. Otherwise quite well done. Serene + relaxing. A few tweaks here n there and this ll become an absolute essential. Edit: Waiting for the updated ver 👍🏼

The game itself is relaxing, beautiful, smooth and addictive, however it uses battery at an alarming rate. I would expect a 3D game to use 900-1,200mAh but definitely not a word game. I would rate this 5 stars if (another) setting was added which cuts out all animations and background processes - maybe swapping them with a static image of the current background. It's a very enjoyable game overall, keep up the great work!

The dictionary is severely lacking and removes the satisfaction when finding a word that isn't in this app's limited lexicon. Isotype, stet, erst, sitrep, repost are a few I remember from just today. The UI is simple and easy for the most part. The entire process to sync with a friend is not explained at all and assumes everyone launches their games through the same method that has the friends list functionality this game uses.

In a world where the glass rectangles we keep on our person are a source of anxiety, it's very welcome that Wordsmyth is anti-pressure. There is no ticking timer, there are unlimited hints (with zero microtransactions), and each puzzle is inaccessible the next day. The last one may seem like a bad thing, but it speaks to a Zen-like ethos of impermanence, which relieves stress by disallowing fixation on a single puzzle. The only criticism is the dictionary, though the devs are trying to fix that.

I love this simple game. The only downsides are that it's dictionary is quite limited. I try plenty of real words that don't come up. Also, when you complete the game nothing happens. So no acknowledgment of your achievement. I know it's meant to be chilled, but it could be something as simple as a sunrise on the background picture! But I generally like its simplicity and the fact you cannot overuse it.

Good. But, words need definitions, very simple to implement from a dictionary. The words you've already guessed should be visually distinguished from ones you haven't - it should be visually obvious when you've found a new word. Hints should always include the first letter. And finally, it would be nice to swipe instead of click. And also to be able to delete a word faster by clicking a little X icon than sweeping backwards, which is a little more tricky to do and slower

The android version is almost unplayable. If any other app is opened after starting Wordsmyth, the settings are ignored (sound is turned on, battery is drained, overheats the phone) but the worst is that the scrolling to go to a different day's game or to check how many 5 letter words are left is broken. It can take 3 minutes to scroll all the way. It is also the only app that overrides bixby on my tablet, which isn't bad but indicative of how it handles system requests

Game is decent and lots of words to find. However there are 2 annoyances that really frustrate. 1) the game burns battery like crazy. Phone gets super warm. Leads me to believe that it's either coded poorly or there are background processes going on that aren't disclosed (mining crypto? Who knows?). I have full on 3D action games that use less power. 2) the swiping input is fine for erasing and submitting words but trying to delete a letter or two is terrible and finicky. Button would be better
