I am very pleased to have discovered EchoLink and this version for my Android phone. I have read through the reviews and there are a lot of issues but the fact that it works and gets me back on him radio is an automatic 5 stars. Like many other users I would like more documentation but in a free app put together by volunteers one cannot be too fussy. In particular I'd like to know more about proxies and more about port forwarding. Thank you.

Awesome app... I'm a ham in the US and have made contact to hams in Southern Ireland, New Zealand, England and several States in the US. My only gripe is that I wish it worked when my phone (Note 8) is on my mobile network. currently it only works when it's connected to WiFi. Other than that, no complaints! Also, I have run it on my Acer Chromebook with no issues... Keep up the good work!

Wonderful app. Simple, easy to use. Nothing bad to say about it. I have heard a common complaint is creating some separation between the 'end' and 'transmit' buttons as sometimes operators mash one when they meant to hit the other. Lookout for that! Hasn't been an issue for me butnyoive been warned. Have fun, 73!

After numerous issues with the computer version, and the apparent absence of updates. I installed this on three of my devices. While I haven't used it much yet, it seems to work fine. I can only connect via proxy however It won't connect via direct or relay, at least not on my network. I have used Echolink pretty much since it was first released, on my computer, I don't if a revised Windows 10 version is coming in the future or not. We shall see what happens going forward.

On network radios it drops the connection and doesn't reconnect when switching cell towers or switching from WiFi to cell service and vice versa. It needs to be able to remember the last connection and reconnect the second data is restored like Zello does, because of that it's pretty useless in the car as you can't keep pressing to reconnect all the time when you're driving. Apart from that it's all good.

So far working well. Had a weird issue where I started setting up the app before getting all my info verified and the app wouldn't let me log in after I was 100% verified. It kept saying "Registering NULL" instead of my callsign. Clearing all data and resetting the app didn't fix it. After uninstalling then reinstalling, it finally let me login. So, get completely verified before attempting to login!

For hams, this is a "must have" app. Even the hams who think it "is not radio" are beginning to see the value of Echolink. It does need to be improved in the way it handles external bluetooth & headphones. Bluetooth earpieces rarely work like in other apps & the phone. The current app now works better with bluetooth. Using 5G Samsung A32 phone.

If the proxy disconnects, the client does not attempt to reconnect automatically and unfortunately, the refresh function does not work in this case either; instead, you have to completely exit the program and restart it. The best solution would be for the client to automatically keep trying to reconnect to the proxy until it succeeds or the user exits.
