This app is not totally compatible with android phones... I have the Google Pixel 2 xl I have problems with all the video features including the TimeLapse features. None of these features will render. So Far the gimbal is functional as a gimbal if still a bit wobbly in windy conditions and sitting on their tripod... I do hope they work on this app because I purchased to do the motion timelapse...

Terrible the app won't connect with the device. Not sure why. The phone picks the device up but the app won't so I can't use the device since the app won't connect and without the app the device won't operate. Samsung Note 20 ultra phone, Smooth 4 device. Not sure what else to do tbh. It's annoying 😒 help I'm usually not tech dumb but in this instance nothing wants to work!

These comments are not intended for Zhiyun as they obviously don't read the reviews here. So this is for those about to get the app. In short, don't bother. The app is buggy, doesn't film at the resolutions the phone (Mate 10) is capable of, motion timelapse doesn't work. You're better off using your phones native camera app and use the gimbal in manual mode.

i am using Nokia 8, flagship phone from HMD. The gimbal device is very well built. However, this app is not usable at all. it always freezes without a known reason. While it works, you cannot select different camera modes in workable condition. The dail is no longer working after 2 days. the 3x3 panoroma mode is a joke. It never tookbpicture in the front but always on the left. Frustrations are the outcoe after purchasing this gimbal. Please fix the app.

Some features don't work, otherwise great. I have Huawei Mate 20 Pro (multiple cameras on the back of the phone) the zoom is laggy, stuttering. Also, i have wide angle camera but can't use it, and my phone is capable of shooting Full HD video at 60fps, but app gives me only 30fps. It would be great to get it fixed, since i paid a lot of money for my Smooth 4 , and can't use it properly because of this. Also, i tried my father's Samsung Galaxy Note 9, with same features that are not working.

Shameful, Huawei P20 pro user, cover alot of international DJs, my free hand does a better job. The app connects to the phone. Can't pull focus, the app freezes and chrashes when I try. Non of the buttons are compatible to the connection. Only thing that works in the back button. It's truely shameful that even with the recent update it still doesn't work. The Huawei P20 Pro had the best camera for night videos and for club shots and the smooth 4 seemed a good option. After many attempts I wish I could return it. Hopefully a beet updates will finally solve all the issuse. Check out my insta page and see what I mean...👣

I am a oneplus user , though it's not a flagship phone ,but it has all the latest specs , and with the Android version of the app, nothing works. the app freezes every 3 seconds ( it's not even a execration). Please fix the app , I would love to recommend it to friends, but not until they improve the software experience.

Records sound only on left channel. I don't understand why. Filmic pro works well, records sound for both channels. Has also configuration for sound. This app doesn't record sound properly on mate 20 pro. Also zoom wheel on zhiyun is useless as zoom is jumping. Filmic pro has smooth zoom transition. Anyway useless with current recording of one left sound channel.
