I enjoy the discounted audiobooks, but the chirp app itself has much to be desired. Playback after pausing an audiobook resets where you are in the chapter and then will not play until you close out of the app and reopen. I would hope this is something that will be fixed soon because chirp sounds cool, but I would go to google books, libro.fm, audible or something else if they just don't really care that much to have a product that actually works.

The app never keeps it's place when you're listening. It restarts chapters everytime you pause and that's if it even gets the chapter right. It also won't start playing again until you close and restart the app. It's fundamentally flawed and barley usable. I'll redownload in a few months and hope it's fixed, though I doubt it since this has been happening for years.

Don't be fooled by Chirp's deals on books. As long as you have to use this awful app to listen, it's NOT worth your money. I'm only 8% into my book, and I can't tell you how many times the app has glitched because I've lost count. It has only kept my place in the book MAYBE three times. Every other time I have to find my place from the end of the previous chapter, and that's IF the play button works. I don't know when it decides to work and when it doesn't. And during play, it often loses sound.

I need Androidauto support. Without that it is useless while driving. I have CR-V 2024 hybrid turing. This the top end model of the CR-V series. I would like to use all the features this automobile provides including android auto. I can do bluetooth to listen to Chirp books but I lose the ability to navigate using google maps and a lot of other conveniences this automobile provides. If you people are unable to provide androidauto compatibility, many people are locked out.

I like the service and the number of books offered. However, the app is a glitchy. It sometimes doesn't save my place and starts at the beginning of the section. Other times, the play button isn't responsive and requires me to close and reopen the app to work properly.

It's been about 2 years since we were told "we're working on returning Android Auto." If there are any plans to actually return the Android Auto compatibility, please give us a date. I'd really like to start purchasing books from you again, but without that it's more trouble than it's worth.

Good selection of audio books at great prices. App periodically freezes and can't continue listening; particularly frustrating when in the car. That's the only reason I'm giving a 3-star rating.

This app is quite buggy. Sometimes takes forever to play a track even with a super fast Internet connection; fails to save your spot; audio drops out. Would be fantastic if only the execution were better.
