I like the idea of it , need more time to see if the data is helpful for me. At the moment , the user interface is not good enough to be expecting paid subscription. The week planner needs some improvement ,on my device when it is dragged to the bottom, when it i reopened the info never loads. Id also like the option to add several weeks ahead.

The Kaizen team respond to feedback quickly and have really worked on the algorithm to fine tune it in the past few weeks. I can confidently say my running has improved, will update as I progress through the next month.

the ui is just trash feel like if i had access. to the code for a week i could do a better job - and yes i am a software developer that hates writing uis not sure what the donut represents and what you need me to do to fill it it says if i out in more effort then it fills more then why is it a distance goal im so confused, feel like it needs an into or an example. some sort of free version of the app would help immensely even if it was slimmed down because having to pay 80£ a year is too muc

the core algorithm is really neat, I like how simplified it is in terms of teaching training load and not bogging you down with heaps of noise and distracting stats. the only reason I'm docking a star is that the data sometimes just disappears when I check the app, even when it has previously been there, like it switches a previous workout to a rest day. I don't know if this is a Strava integration issue or what but usually if I restart the app a few times, or check back later, it looks correct.

Nice presentation, but inaccurate prediction and unhelpful advice (for me anyway). Despite having access to all my Strava data, it's predicting a half-marathon time about 10 minutes slower than I could confidently run at present. And it's not cheap. Looked good at first but unfortunately I don't think the algorithms are up to the job. Garmin watch or Luke Humphrey Running race predictor are much more accurate, and free (once you have the watch!)

I should have deleted the app as soon as it asked for my phone number. Seriously, before worrying about whether or not people are going to steal your app you should worry about making an app that is functional. Got asked about 10000 times to authorize my Strava. Which set me back to the home screen every time I was playing with the settings. And as soon as I set a goal the whole thing glitched out (with a spelling mistake in the error message 🤦).

Updating this review from two to four stars. It has definitely improved in the last year, it is a lot less buggy, predictions are better and new functionality added. Still unclear how it can justify being c 50% more expensive than Strava premium given it offers a lot less, but remains a useful tool and I use it increasingly often. Hopefully this isn't another one of those good running apps to get hammered by the Strava API changes.
