I really want to use this app! But in trial it is not registering I'm speaking or it's processing forever. The mic button indicates hearing something when i speak. And when it does finish processing it grades me as good pronunciation, which i have for the beginners stuff I'm reviewing. PixelPro7. I wish during the Speaking review it showed the super literal translation. Otherwise i find myself repeating words accurately, but I'm not mentally connecting them with a meaning in practice.

I appreciate what it's trying to do, but I feel the "Speak" app does what jumpspeak is trying to do 10x better. This version is clunky and some of the translations were just flat out wrong. Take a look at the Speak app if you're interested in AI learning. Also, getting a refund if you purchase an annual membership on this app is not easy. It took contacting support on both sides - plan for at least a few hours of your time.

Don't waste your money!! The main point of this app is speaking, but voice recognition is AWFUL. I can say the same thing to a translator and it knows exactly what I'm saying, but with this app, it never registers. Also, it doesn't seem to give an option between informal/formal so if you're trying to learn how to talk respectfully with people you aren't familiar with, this is not the app for you.

On the lessons board the microphone does not pick up my responses for any of the conversations, or speaking part of the lessons. The mic does work on the ai chat part of the app. It started working great in the beginning, but slowly got harder to pick up my responses. Now it doesn't at all. The mic has no problems on other applications for phone. ..... Thanks for fixing the speech problem so promptly. I really enjoy your app. It has become part of my daily routine.

After only using it for 10 minutes, it's given wrong translations, incorrect Grammer, and keeps selecting 出す、 instead of です。 Pronounced to same, but two completely different meanings. I'll also say like two short sentences, but it only catches 1/3 of it. It's also giving me a response, but not saying the right word. It's correct in the text box, but the AI voice is saying something completely different. I feel like using this will only set you up for failure if you're not able to catch errors.

The app is still limited. Lessons are adequate but formulaic, not much better than Duolingo. The AI tutor could be good but it's still very much in it's infancy. The AI tutor doesn't carry on conversations well, and doesn't understand context. While it is nice to see the grammar focus, it will mark answers as incorrect if the microphone doesn't capitalize the start of the sentence. The customizable AI tutor never creates the scenarios you ask. App could be good in the future, for now only ok.

Beautiful app, but meh, it's really awkward to speak to an ai in a language you barely know. Maybe for advanced learners who want to fine tune their skills. Not for beginners or intermediate users. Also, buyer beware, I thought I signed up for something affordable, then when I canceled my subscription I had four different subscriptions. One was for like $480 up front. Not what I think I signed up for. Very deceptive subscriptions and scammy sign up. Beware.

The ai tutor finally works! It didn't for the first month or so. After regular use for about a month now, I must say that it works well except for conjugations of verbs. You truly do learn the vocab via immersion, just deciphering what the root verb is and why it's conjugated a certain way based on context clues. I like the functionality of the app otherwise, it's intuitive, smooth and actually helping me with useful vocab.
