Searching for "Smart Life" brings up this app as the top, sponsored result. It looks suspiciously similar to the actual Smart Life app, but this one doesn't connect to everything, gives you ads, and tries to charge you money. It's predatory, and I've also noticed that my Wi-Fi is extremely slow every since trying to use it. Wouldn't be surprised if this was malicious.

Unusable app. Any high rating is a bot. This app has so many ads you cannot use it at all. If you click on anything an ad pops up if you think about clicking on anything an ad pops up. It is impossible to connect anything because you are now 10 ads deep just trying to navigate the home page. I didn't even get to the first steps to setting anything up because I have been watching the same tik tok ad for the 15th time. Do not download.

This app only controls Philips Hue and Tuya Smart lightbulbs. Just those brands. Just bulbs. The description is entirely misleading and this app is pointless. I'm not a fan of the Hue app, but at least it's free. *These are notes from my experience with the free trial of their ad-free version; I doubt the one that's flooded with ads is going to be any better.

Start off by saying i downloaded the wrong app buuuut things you should know, Unusable due to ads, $20 lifetime subscription to unlock features and get rid of ads which doesn't sound like much buuuuut the app that i was supposed to download, WiZ, is free and awesome and easy to use. No need to pay anything more than the bulbs you purchased to control a few lights.

I usually give really good reviews, but not this time. This app is pretty scammy. It has a free "limited" version and a premium version. The limited version lets you connect the light bulb, change its color about 5 times, then it stops working completely. Even if you watch the ads. So you are forced to buy premium if you want to change the light more than a 5 times. I would have been fine if they were up front and honest about the fee. But they aren't.

Don't use this app or buy products that require it. I bought an eightree plug for a light and after downloading the app, navigating all the adds they force on you because I didn't want to pay $4/month or more to be able to turn a light on and off, I finally got it paired. But as soon as I log off the app doesn't work. It also does not work with Alexa, though it says it does. Terrible product, worse app. Spend your time and money somewhere else!!!!!!

This app sucks on so many levels it's not even funny. I've sent in complaints and email them concerning the overwhelming ads that cause the app to be almost useless, but I don't get a response. Recently had to uninstall the app and reinstall it four times and it still didn't work. Ended up installing it on a separate phone in order to finally turn the lights white versus a dookie beige color. This app is an absolute disaster. Wish I could give NO STARS.

I just connected my light and found the app to control it is horrible. The light seems to function, but creating a FREE account to use the app COSTS a verification fee. If you plan on using any feature other than off/on you need a subscription or $80 lifetime purchase for the app. As soon as you push any buttons in the app you get blasted with ads, many seem to be designed around the apps layout making them deceptive and hard to identify what is an actual button in the app.
