تحتلّ سورة يس مكانةً عظيمةً في قلوب المسلمين، فتراهم يقرؤونها في الصباح والمساء، وعند المريض حتى يتمّ الله عليه بالشفاء، وعلى من يحتضر وينازع روحه؛ حتى يسهّل الله عليه خروجها بإذنه، وعند القبور حتّى تتنزّل الرحمة على أصحابها، وقد روى ابن حبان في صحيحه فقال: (مَن قرَأ يس في ليلةٍ ابتغاءَ وجهِ اللهِ غُفِر له)،[١] ولم يرد عن رسول الله -صلّى الله عليه وسلّم- أنّه دعاء بدعاءٍ مخصّصٍ بعد قراءته لسورة يس، لكن الدعاء بعد الانتهاء من تلاوة القرآن الكريم من المواضع التي يكون فيها مُجاباً، وقد ذكر ذلك بعض العلماء؛ منهم ابن مفلح في كتابه الآداب عندما ذكر مواضع إجابة الدعاء.[٢]
