Meteo Weather Widget is a weather app showing the weather in a very detailed way at a glance on your home screen. While many weather apps are showing the weather forecast in a rather basic way, this app does that by visualizing the forecast in a so-called meteogram. Doing so shows you a much better overview of when exactly rain will fall, the sun will be shining, when it will become cloudy...

The main focus of the app consists in showing the meteogram on a small home screen widget (e.g. a 4X1 widget). Even while the widget does not occupy that much space on the home screen, it still manages showing the forecast in a clear way. Simply add a widget on your home screen, specify your location (or let the widget automatically determine your location) and the weather forecast appears on your home screen.

The meteogram shows the temperature and expected precipitation for the complete forecast period. Besides those weather elements, the wind speed, wind direction and air pressure can also be visualized on the meteogram. The user has all freedom to customize how the meteogram should look like.

Feature overview:

• Temperature, precipitation, wind and pressure
• Cloudiness / clearness indication
• Short-term forecast (next 24 or 48 hours)
• Short-term forecast for the next 5 days
• Lots of user settings: colors, weather elements, ...

Features exclusively available in this Donate version:

• Widget providing a long-term forecast (next 10 days)
• Show humidity percentage
• Show sunrise and sunset
• Show wind vane for wind direction
• Better (temperature) graph visualization (f.e. color the graph in blue when the temperature falls below freezing, custom line thickness and style, ...)
• Show moon phase
• Show wind chill
• Feature allowing you to save current settings as default settings
• Enable more weather providers (via in-app subscription)
• For the United States only: NOAA as weather provider

About the weather forecast data

All thanks to MET.NO (The Norwegian Meteorological Institute) for offering the weather forecast data (notice that for the long-term forecast period, one of the best weather models - ECMWF - is used by MET.NO).

For locations in the United States, NOAA is offered as short term weather provider.

NOTE: other weather providers can be enabled via in-app subscription.

The app is quite lightweight (low resource usage on data and memory) but still full featured, the weather info for the next days is presented in a concise and nice way. The used weather provider has really good forecasts, with quite a detailed regional grid. I had one issue specific to my phone brand... but the developer fixed it within a reasonable time after I reported it- so also 5* for the support.

I used to have the AIX weather widget for years and loved it, but after Android Pie it just wouldn't work all the time, which was really frustrating. One of the very few apps that I have been happy to pay for. Well done. UPDATE, hi Benny, I cannot get the widget to update on a Poco X7 Pro. running android 15 . Any ideas?

Been using this widget for more than 10 years. It's always had this bug where the height of the forecast graph is sometimes squashed. Tapping on the widget makes it update, and the height is restored, but it doesn't always work.

Great widget, love the info and ability to customize. Only thing I wish it had was a graph styled like the cloudiness graph that showed the percentage chance of rain.

love your app; can we get some sort of a list of recently searched locations, so we don't have to look them up again? recently the height of my widget keeps resetting and i can't fix it by refreshing it

Useful quick and easy to understand. Sometimes OS updates can break if but clearing cache usually solves! been using this for many years!

This is a great replacement for Aix Weather. I'd used it for years, but it suddenly wouldn't update the data. It would only use Norwegian WX so the temperature was off, etc. This app is accurate as can be. You can set the meteogram up to extremes if you want, but I like wind speed and direction arrows, cloudiness, and some title items. I really like the day/night bar at the bottom. I played with the non-donate app (which has no ads) for 15 minutes, then paid the donation. Well worth it.

Finally, a weather widget that tells me what I need to know without having to go into a weather app. With a quick glance I can see the temperature, cloud cover, and amount of rain for each hour for the next 24 hours (can be configured for 48 hours) and I can see a weather summary for 5 more days. Pressure, wind speed, wind direction, and humidity can also be added. You can choose the weather provider and both light and dark themes are supported. What would make this widget perfect would be to have options to remove the location from the title and the precipitation from the right y-axis for a cleaner look. These values don't change on my phone so they just clutter the screen.
