As a beginner, using a DOS emulator is a little more complicated than a console emulator. Even more complicated is the task of adapting a keyboard & mouse game to touchscreen controls, especially if its a game I've never played before! Magic DosBox has guides that helped me set up the game I wanted to play. They also have a forum where people share their touchscreen profiles for various games. With this help I was able to play Blood on my phone easily.

Great DOSBox implementation. A couple of features that would be nice would be for mounting a floppy disc and the ability to auto add an "exit" after the running application exits. In addition, if the running application is a batch file, it should "call" the batch file. Just so I don't have to edit the "advanced" file every time. Another addition could be to set defaults.

After 30 minutes of setup I had Quest for Glory 1 VGA, Master of Magic, and The Incredible Machine running smoothly with touch controls that felt native. Even created custom touch buttons down the left side of the display for the top menu controls in QFG using the original icon images. This has its quirks and bugs (can't set custom cycles?), but you can easily create a pretty flawless setup in a short time. $3 app on a $20 refurb Fire HD 8 for this kind of experience is an absolute steal.

This emulator is incredible. No doubt the developers put real effort in it. It supports bluetooth controllers, save states, mouse emulation, you can design your own keys layout, can set keys size, position even background. Save seperates layout for each and every game. Create shortcuts for games executables. And much more... Amazing !!!! It would be real great if there is an option to add photo on icons of game shortcuts we create

It has literally the features I could want from DosBox. Customization is unparalleled. There isn't enough space to write it all here. Custom button controls with drag and custom image icons, SVN switch for instance of save/load, custom scripts with ease of use, easy setup and installation with user friendly systems and guidance...

Edit: Magic DosBox is very limited in what it can do. A few things it can not do are xcopy and switches. Review: Best way to emulate DOS on a portable device! Super easy to setup and install games & OSes. Has taught me a lot about DOS and really has improved my abilities. Please keep this updated and running, really fun to use! Using on Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5g running Android 12.

Absolutely amazing app! I love working with vintage computers and this app allows me to bring some of that joy on the go with some of my favorite games. The amount of features and the customizability is insane to the point there's a learning curve but it's well worth it! If you run into the issue of no sound, game lock ups, or sound hardware initializing errors, try copying the sound config fields from the PC version of DOSBox into the app version and increasing some of the buffers a tad bit.

This is leagues better than playing DOS games on RetroArch. The controls for each game you load here are manageable, and they're all emulated in ways that you would want it. But what I really like is this app's ability to replicate mouse controls just by touching and dragging around the screen, which is pretty useful for point-and-click adventures and a few breakout clones that support this control scheme.
