WHY WE NEED LOCATION DATA
Chipolo uses location data to display the last known location of your Chipolo tracking tag in the Chipolo app, to trigger Out of Range Alerts on your phone and to display your phone's location in the Chipolo web app, even when the app is running in the background. Additionally, Chipolo may use your location when scanning for nearby Chipolo tracking tags as part of the community search feature that helps our users find each other’s Chipolos.

The trackers worked originally pretty well, but for a couple of months I have been receiving random lost notifications even though my belongings are still with me. I actually lost my wallet yesterday and the app shows the last time it was nearby but can't display the last location I was at (which probably was a cinema where there was no reception in the basement but still). A feature showing the 2/3 last saved locations (with time information) would really practical.

Perfect. The "left-behind" feature is the killer app. These have more than paid for themselves in terms of time saved. My advice (maybe unsolicited) is to keep this option available exactly as it is. Not saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it." I'm saying what you have here is special, set it and forget it, life-improving experience. If you need to innovate, create a new SKU with e-ink display to show contact info or a QR code. Anything that strictly adds and doesn't alter the core product loop.

Can only imagine the positive reviews are from people who have just bought them. They stop working after a few months even if you replace the battery. The internal button won't work, the app can't find it, none of the features work. I've given up. The devices just do not last. If you're prepared to replace every few months they are fine. Otherwise just save your money and don't buy.

I've liked it so far but the biggest problem I have had is making sure the card charges. Sometimes I'll leave it in powerful light for like 6 hours but tells me it's still low on battery? others I know that have one have this problem aswell. Is there like a certain type of light that it works better in? I've tryed daylight/grow lights but not much changed should I just get a replacement? (Edit:Thank you! I fixed it, I believe that the battery was so weak that it took awhile longer to charge up.)

Battery settings aren't working quite right anymore. S22 Ultra (fully updated and rebooted daily) tells me Battery saver is stopping Chipolo from fully functioning. I checked the saver settings, it isn't listed there at all. So I checked the app Battery settings and Chipollo is set to Unrestricted. So settings, updates, and reboots are accounted for but still no solution.

Received as a gift about two years ago. Setup was quick and rather painless which I enjoyed, and for the first few months it was great! However, the system does not seem well suited to hot environments, and/or sitting under 220+ lbs of weight every day in a back pocket. By the end of the first year, the device was completely inoperable and would not recharge after any length of time. I'd still recommend the product otherwise.

The app really needs a feature, to either turn off the warning during a given time frame (night, between 22 and 7), or while being near a defined area (home). I would love to use the app and the Chipolos, but I always have to turn off BT at home, because in 100% of all cases the phone loses connection to one of the chips while I sleep, and wakes me up with the loud sound I can't stop from being played. And no, I don't want to take all my keys into the bed, to avoid this behavior.

Excellent app and excellent physical devices. The app notifies when I am out of range from the devices, and remembers the last location they were when they got disconnected. Additionally, I can ring the devices so it is easy to find them. Their support is amazing - every case is treates seriously and quickly. They have a 1-year waarranty, and when one of my devices failed, they quickly shipped a replacement.
