What is Futoshiki?

Futoshiki is a funny logic puzzle game from Japan. In this game you need to fill all cells with numbers. Some cells can be filled initially, the rest is filled by the player. The game is very similar to the game "Sudoku", but it has a difference. On the playing field, in addition to numbers, there may also be signs (more, less). The sign between two cells means that one number is greater than the other. A correctly filled square must satisfy the following three conditions:
1. The numbers in each line should not be repeated.
2. The numbers in each column should not be repeated.
3. If there are signs (arrows) on the field, then the condition must be met. (One number is smaller than the other).

Levels.

In the program you can choose 6 difficulty levels (4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, 8x8 and 9x9). The larger the square, the more difficult it is to go through. If you play Futoshiki for the first time, we recommend that you start with a 4x4 square. At each level of complexity you will be offered 2000 unique game levels. The higher the number the more difficult. (Level 2000 is the most complex).

How to play?

To change the value of a cell - first select it, and then click on the numbers at the bottom of the screen to put a number in the cell. You can put several numbers in one cell at once, but the level is considered passed, when in each cell there is only one number. If you want to remove a number from the cell, select it and click the corresponding number in the bottom of the screen.

I'm a big fan of this game. Most of the puzzle and lofic games I've played have a bunch of stuff that doesn't matter at all. This game has none of that. I love how it's set up in a way that you gradually get better as you go without any words of assistance. It's a cool game, and I highly recommend it to people who like puzzle games such as this.

Very good. Can put in all the possible numbers, very clean looking and with numbers lit up on the side so you can verify that you've put in all the numbers you want to try.

Great interface, minimal ads This game has me hooked!! I love solving puzzles like this! Interface and controls are easy to use. There are no advertisements that pop up and they are located at the top of the screen and do not interrupt gameplay, so huge plus! The ONLY thing I would change is to add a hint button. I'm quite stubborn and if I can't solve one, it bothers me! *higher levels of course* I hate to move on without solving the previous one! Awesome game for the logic brains!

I like the App. It's not heavy on ads and you have lots of complexity options to alter the level of challenge. I especially love the black background since I often play at night. It is probably considered bad practice, but sometimes I miss not having the option to write only 1 possible number in multiple grid corners to help me keep track of already explored pathways.

2000 futishiki games games in increasing order of difficulty (although I am working backwards from 2000, the most difficult, and it has taken me about a year to reach the still challenging 1700s). Futoshiki is in effect in effect '9x9 More-or-Less Sudoku' (but without the 9 3x3 squares inside the larger 9x9 square that is one of the variants in the Vistalgy Sudoku app (which would get 6 stars if I could award that; but I recommend both apps).

It took me a bit to understand the instructions. It would have helped if they explained which side of the symbol represented "plus or minus". Looking at the pictures on the app page helped. This isn't my style of puzzle game because I'm looking for something that doesn't require quite so much concentration. Tons of puzzles though so if you like them there's a lot to go through.

This is quite a good app but! I'd really like a 'clue' button. These take a long time to complete and I just get stuck at times. I have to start over! You allow for possible numbers in one way, but there is a place for the other thought process of 'a 1 can only be in these 3 boxes...' I can't put this number in as is will only be large and appear like a finished box.

Yep, I like this app. Keep coming back to this, and their Suguru app for ease of use. Wonderful not to have to press a seperate icon to adding the smaller 'penciled in' numbers, you just add more numbers into the square and it turns the large single number into smaller numbers. Then when you remove all but one of the smaller numbers it turns the remaining one into a large number. So simple to use.
