iChooseTo may not work on devices which are very restrictive with background processes (e.g. Samsung, OnePlus, Huawei, Xiaomi). Please visit dontkillmyapp.com to eventually make it work!

Main functionalities:
- iCT: Before you open an app (of choice) you get displayed a screen (for a choosen amount of time), asking you if you really want to open it.
- re-iCT: Choose again after a certain amount of time
- iCT-on-unlock: Stop unconsciously checking your phone. iCT-on-unlock will show up each time you attempt to unlock your phone and ask you if you really want to do it.

You find yourself wasting hours on semiproductive apps like YouTube, Instagram, Reddit or WhatsApp?
You've tried every app from the PlayStore that promised to make you more productive but you still have the bad habit to click on time-wasting apps without second thought?
Why is iChooseTo different?
1) It gives YOU the power to choose: You can use apps for productive and unproductive things. So why block them completely? iCT asks you if you really want to open the app and forces you to make conscious decisions
2) It stops you BEFORE you already wasted time: Many appblockers stop you after you run out of time. They "limit" the time you're able to waste. iCT makes it less probable that you waste time in the first place!

Give it a try, write a review with ideas for improvement and be a part in the process of making this the best "appblock-app" for android!

Absolutely incredible. Been trying to regulate my time on a social media app for YEARS (used to avg 4-6hrs/day). Brought it down to 2 w/ my phone's native app timers, but kept deleting timers. Then I found ICT. It helped IMMEDIATELY because I had to wait out the urge to open the app to distract myself. I now avg 1h-45min a day, and actually feel good while using instead of like I'm doomscrolling. Wish I could set different timers for different apps. But as is, still life-changing. THANK YOU!!!!

The app is good. I would give 5 five stars, however a major flaw is the waiting time screen sometimes appears twice when launching an app. Also the app doesn't also run in the background properly but that's probably more of my oem fault then the app developer. Edit: I changed the time from 10s to 5s and now it only appears once. I also downloaded good guardian and changed it to quick switching mode. I also went to device care and excluded the app in memory settings. I am using s20 android 12

Simple & Effective My use: + 2 sec wait and manually starting the counter, fast use of the target app but with a warning and conscious action. + 4 min re-chooseto, 7 sec wait, constant reminders to disengage. + Constantly editing the message to something personally meaningful, actionable and concrete. Combined with: + Deleting problematic apps, if the urge is big I will redownload them. + Search for everything. On home screen only non-problematic apps. Make it difficult to TURN IT OFF

Love this app so much! I have ADHD, so distractions & losing track of time is a constant struggle. I've searched for an app like this many times only to find unhelpful solutions like shame-reports of time wasted in each app, or locking out of apps after X amount of usage like I am a child. This app is actually helpful because it lets me set transition intervals to create awareness of time passing, so I can consciously *choose* how I spend my time. Brilliant solution, respects human autonomy 👍

Amazing and completely *free* implementation of a simple yet extremely effective mechanic that helps you a lot against doomscrolling and general social media addiction. The developer deserves praise and support for not covering features behind subscription pay walls or ads! If you have a Xiaomi phone, there are many multiple settings you have to double check yourself in order to have the app fully functioning, but that's 100% Xiaomi's messy OS fault, the app per se works perfectly.

I love exactly what this app is doing, and it attacks the issues of phone addiction in a more productive way than most. One request I have though: I can't find a way to just have it always running, it feels like I have to start it up every time I restart my phone or leave it on a long time.

The point of impulse is the place to catch me, not in retrospect or before I fail. This app is perfect. Wish it didn't stop working so often, but I understand that's a limitation of samsung's energy management. I believe there should be a way though since my app lock never bails.

Nice app I wanna suggest a feature or i need this feature...... "On the countdown screen add a ability to set pictures from gallery" For example i want to set my inspiration's picture and his quote, till now i can only set quote not picture..... As i think this is a nice idea and should be added. ×Otherwise this is a great all× Thank You No problem bro
