I was excited about the callbox upgrade for my community, but was quickly disappointed. This is an extremely faulty application. App does not work when guests are calling from the gate. It just rings and rings on their end. It does not notify me at all via the app. Also, there are no clear directions on how to use QR code or PIN for guests to gain entry, as the system displays these options for entry. Pointless. Useless. Annoying. Please fix this.

The latest version of the CellGate app is worse than before. If you don't open the app for a while or leave it running in the background, it goes offline. This means you won’t receive any notifications when a guest calls from the gate, rendering the app practically useless. I can't understand why my HOA spends thousands of dollars each year on this faulty system. Please fix the app ASAP—I've already missed multiple deliveries because I didn’t receive any notifications from the driver.

The app is okay, but it would be nice if it scrolled in landscape mode. I have android on my car head unit. Since the car display is horizontal I am unable to get to the bottom of the page to click the button to complete installation. Maybe it's not intended to be used in car, but I do then I don't have to fumble around for phone.

Edit(6/23'): to 4 stars. Permissions issue fixed. Thank you. Just a widget, please 🥺. ++2 Stars++ Even after giving all the permissions it asked for, it still asks for permissions. Hitting "I'm sure" does nothing but make the pop up appear again, I have to hit cancel, then sign in again since the pop up interrupted the sign in process.

this app and the entire cellgate software stack is terrible. it does not work properly on pixel devices. on a pixel device you cannot receive calls from the gate, which makes the entire system worthless. it means my gate system is worthless. also there is no notification based system. definitely would recommend cellgate to anyone.

App no longer works after my phone's last update (Galaxy A13). It worked fine before this. Need it for my housing complex gate to let people in, but it doesnt work anymore and is frustrating. Uninstalled, reinstalled, allowed all permissions, still freezes at logo when opening. Have done this process several times, btw. Only reason that I'm giving it 2 stars is because it USED to work. Please fix ASAP and I will change my rating. Otherwise, be aware.

I'm supposed to be able to control all options from the cloud tool, but all the options I have is to add my name and cell number. It tells me that private access codes can be created for my guests, but there is no way to do that. The only option you get is to log out...no support after hours or weekends (when you really need it). Not a good tool at all...when someone tries to call from the gate it rings once and hangs up. Stay away from this product.

It does the bare minimum to allow opening gates with very little UX consideration. Some of my primary pain points: * Stop asking about video permissions every single time I open the app; the app doesn't need it to function * Make some widgets for gates; I want to click one time to open my gate from my home screen * The app seems to hang on to old connections if not force closed. I constantly have to reopen it to get it to function.
