Invasion of Norway 1940 is a turn based WWII strategy game set on Norway and its coastal waters From Joni Nuutinen: by a wargamer for the wargamers since 2011. Last Update: October 2025You are in command of the combined German land and naval forces attempting to seize Norway (Operation Weserubung) before the Allies do. You'll be battling the Norwegian Armed Forces, the British Royal Navy, and the multiple Allied landings that try to disrupt the German operation.
Prepare for a fierce naval battle as you take command of the German warships and fuel tankers! Your task is to support your troops in the far north, where the rugged terrain and harsh weather make logistics a nightmare. While the southern landings in Norway may seem like a walk in the park with short supply lines, the real challenge lies in the treacherous north. The British warships pose a constant threat, ready to cut off your vital naval supply route to the northern landings.
The real test of your strategic prowess comes with the northernmost landing near Narvik. Here, you'll have to tread carefully, for one wrong move could spell disaster for your plans. If the Royal Navy gains an upper hand in the area, you'll be forced to make a difficult decision: scuttle your warships to gain weak sailor units or risk losing everything in a battle in which the odds are increasingly worsening.
FEATURES:
+ Historical accuracy: Campaign mirrors the historical setup.

One of the more frustrating campaigns of the series. Tried to play this on hard and kept getting owned. Heck of a challenge!

Great game, one of the most complex wargame about this campaign on cellphone, PC, etc. and it was not easy task to succeed as it happened in the real operation.

I have a bunch of Joni's games. This may be my favorite. The situation is interesting, and the integration of air, land, sea, and logistics is masterful .

Dang supply locations plays way... To big a role. At times more tedious/confusing. Just my opinion.

Its all here. Invasion of Norway requires that you successfully manage naval, air power, supply and ground troops to be a great commander.
