It has been a while now that I can't use the "safe folder" anymore because it's displaying the "installing security update " notification instead. So now all my private documents are blocked and unusable in the safe folder by the app, that's crazy. I was hoping that the new update would solved the issue but nothing changed. What can I do next ?

I have to say that I am more than happy with this app. It's so easy to understand and to navigate. To transfer files is a breeze too. Simply select the file and then select what you need to do with it takes no time and no effort. The app will perform a scan, which informs you of duplicate files, files that are large, and apps that you don't use, which will all eat up your storage. Sending or receiving files is simple too! Keep your phone clean and do task all with just a click of a button.

A good file management app, but it has the potential to be much better. The file and folder sorting needs to be more customized, allowing for sorting settings for individual folders and drives. No need for AI interference in future updates, but a built-in method to scan for and manage file duplicates would be a great addition.

Very annoying: moving a file into a subdirectory, or the other way around. One can't simply drag it, nor choose a relative directoy. No, one has to select the directory all the way down from the root. Yeez!! Also when reopening one has to reselect the same the previous directory all the way down.

Incredibly, painfully slow copying of files to and from external flash drive storage. This is such basic functionality, I do not understand why Google either can't fix or chooses not to fix this. Deleting and reinstalling the app fixes the problem, for a short time, and then the app slows to a snail's pace again after a few days.

This app is giving me a hard time with loading files and searching for them. Even after updating the app and clearing the cache, the issue persists, and make me end up restarting the app and manually search for the files in the internal storage because the search feature doesn't work well. It is really frustrating when things don't work smoothly, especially when it comes to managing your files. Do Something About This.

The files app offers an easy, accessible way to browse through the files on your phone. However if you need to deal with videos, large compressed files in formats like .rar or .7z, or generally fly though folder after folder copying and moving many files, there are better alternatives. Admittedly Files is widely supported and has tools to help you manage your storage and much easier integration with Google Drive. I'll stick with Samsung Files, which works much better for my purposes.

I have to buy a new phone because the app just doesn't lemme access my stuff anymore (pics, vids etc). The form the devs keep sending on every comment is only to gather info for them to solve a problem they created their own, probably because someone had a great idea of implementing some stupid asset that only slowed down the app and, like many others are saying, also makes the app just bug the whole system. Oncd again, thanks a lot Google. That's my final comment on this, until they changed it.
