I have this app in 2 platforms. Both are mid. I usually have to force it to the next episode on a binge, because it doesn't seem to have the "autoplay" feature on Xbox, even though it still does autoplay on occasion.. However, I greatly enjoy the content, and it's surprising that you have some things that CrunchyRoll doesn't, like certain dubs. All in all, it's not a bad app, but you guys need to take A LOT of hints out of other apps that are more successful. I want to see you do well, friends.

The service is 4 stars...but the app. It's bad. Subtitles sometimes overlap so if the character had a lot to say, the middle of their sentence can't be read. The UI isn't really user friendly. There is a "contine watching" but not really a section to let me know the shows I watch have just updated. Seasons are sometimes separated from each other making it less enjoyable as well. Sadly as it is, hidive is the app that feels annoying to use.

Last Edit: Canceled my subscription. Worst app ever created. Can't even delete your watch history, so you're stuck with shows you're not watching on your continue-watching list. The worst part is its episodes. Like episode 1 of a show, then 2 then 3, and so on. It doesn't save your spot or anything. It's a streaming site that you can binge on. Makes a lot of sense to no one!

The old app was bad, so it's ramazing that somehow made it worse. Took an hour to get running and logged in on my Chromecast. They did add a couple much needed features and fixes but it's still super clunky and a poor experience overall. But on my Pixel phone the app absolutely does not work. Just says "no content available" and/or locks up. I've done everything short of factory resetting the phone. Nothing works. Did no one even test this? At least the web site works, I guess.

A frustrating experience. - UI is incredibly bare bones and visually unappealing - Mobile app is fine, but the Roku experience is a nightmare overall. No settings to access, no preferences to manage, and you can't create watchlists. - App does not remember shows your currently viewing unless you stop in the middle of an episode. - Cannot screencast from the mobile app. - Cannot change languages on Roku. - Stream quality is defined as "low" or "high". What does that mean, HIDIVE?

The UI for their application is horrendous. I'm not sure if they hired a 2 year old to design it or what is going on. I am honestly surprised that any company charging for a service would be willing to put something so pathetic into production. Everything is disorganized, reliance on small images over text-based titles. There is no cositancy in highlight colors. Poor navigation from historic episodes or continuation of a video. Can't skip episodes, change quality, or basic functions.

The app itself has definitely improved, but it's far from straightforward. Interface is clunky when you're trying to resume a show from last watched episode, and forget continuing to the next episode if you resume from there. Selection is different from crunchyroll in a few ways. Yes they have exclusives like danmachi and eminence in shadow, but a lot of the exclusives are either older shows, b-tier (at best), or both. Really it's mostly filler anime here, but there's a few that alright.

The worst video app I've ever used. Doesn't remember audio settings. Subtitles glitch together. Difficult to navigate, for example to episodes within the same season. Doesn't respect screen rotation lock. Home screen is a mess. Crazy how bad it is when there are so many examples of passable apps in this category. Have the devs ever used their own product?
