I think it's a great idea but the app doesn't let me sign in at all. I set up a username and password and signed in but it still asks me to sign in or sign up. I've reinstalled it several times. I've been trying for a few days. Without being able to use the normal features like favoriting songs this app is pretty boring and pointless. I would love to change my rating if I could actually explore this app.

Love the music and have used hypem since high school. Unfortunately the app has never been perfect. Frequently crashes for no apparent reason when playing music in the background. Ocasionally gets stuck while trying to load a song and requires a restart or two. Still paying cause the idea is great.

Update: I've been using the app extensively for years and love all of the fresh music. They fixed all of my complaints from my last review years ago. Thanks for all the work! --- The app will stop playing music after a couple tracks if left in the background. I have to constantly go back to the app to resume playing. Also, sad to see the ads even after I paid for the app before it went free.

I have loved this app for years. Was more than happy to pay for the full version twice (switched from iPhone to Android), but it is basically non-functional at this point... For the past 2 months have had songs stop playing at random, and playlists won't continue without me repeatedly hitting play after every track. I am updated to the latest version and it's still not working. Please fix!! Also, as others have said, Android needs offline feature

Love the people-oriented curation of music. Would love it more if there was a section for cached songs (so I don't have to use my data). Recent (March 2021) updates has resulted in songs not playing. The only fix I've found is to uninstall and reinstall the app, but this is an easy enough workaround for a free app/service. Still giving them $3 / mo to support their dev efforts.

Make it easier to search through the track. If a song is playing, I would like to skip to the middle without tapping on the blog link. It's frustrating. Preview mode has no purpose if we can't move it forward and backward. Make it more user friendly. Right now the only reason why I don't use it as much and why I stopped monthly subscription is because the user interface for the song is frustrating. With spotify, you can move the song to the middle without being afraid of tapping on anything else

PLAYBACK ERROR MESSAGE ON 90% OF MY SONGS!!! I've been using this app since 2013. It'll work if you uninstall and reinstall. I've already done that several times. Also, I noticed that a handful of my songs in my favorites are missing completely. I stream this mostly in the car. I need to keep my eyes on the road. Not jerk around with my phone trying to get my songs to play. I've just uninstalled again and contemplating never reinstalling. Does this with Samsung S8+ and now my new S21.

I've used this program for years and I love it. Amazing way to find new music edit___::its now been 10 years since I was turned onto HypeMachine and everything changed in my life. Music has never been the same. Not only has my selection and taste changed and flowed with time, but the artists that once ruled the airwaves have now been replaced with their youth. Simply put, you need this app. The next 10 years for you could be just as great as mine, a soundtrack to life in your pocket, that's you.
