The app is designed specially for playing audio books.

You have to manually download the books and place them in subfolders under the "My Audiobooks" folder on your phone.
Every book must be in a separate subfolder, even if it consists of only one file.
In Library→Settings→Root folder select the "My Audiobooks" folder.
Once finished, don't forget to press the "Update" button at the top of the Library window.

First 30 days Full version. Later - Basic version.
Features:
+ Playback speed control. It may be useful if narrator speaks too slow or too fast.
+ Classification of books (new, started and finished) allows you to understand at glance what books have been finished, what you are reading now and what are new).
+ Downloading cover from the Internet brings more life to the book than just blank general cover.
+ Bookmarks allow you to mark interesting moments in the book.
+ List of characters. You can manually create a list of characters to easier follow the story.
+ Automatic pause in case you fall asleep. To continue playback just shake your phone.
+ Playback history allows to return to the previous playback position in situation when you accidentally hit Next file or other button.
+ Chromecast support allows to listen the book on full size speakers.
+ Application Widget. Allows you to control the player from the home screen.
+ You don't have to finish one book to start another. The progress is saved independently for all books.

Exactly what I was looking for, well worth the purchase. Functional widgets, no problems with stopping or resuming books, bookmark and chapter support. Great feature allows you to add characters and descriptions to help with note taking built into the app. Support for chrome cast devices. I was just looking for an audiobook reader with chapter support that wasn't gonna lose my place and this is that and so much more

Obscure Reference

I enjoy the app and it's many features. However, the inability to skip forwards and backwards using voice commands is frustrating. Whether using the phone's speaker, Bluetooth earbuds and speakers, or Android Auto, the app won't skip 10, 20, 30, or any other number of seconds forwards or backwards. I end up having to listen to my audio books in Podcast Addict, which skips forwards and backwards no problem.

Still love this app after all these years. FEATURE REQUEST: Some players have an option to skip long pauses in the narrator's reading. I need this feature because my Bluetooth disconnects after 2 seconds, and then it misses the first word when the narration picks back up. Some narrators rarely cause this problem, but others pause frequently, and so I constantly miss words in the narration.

Update: 7 years of near daily use. Still the best! Worth buying. I've been using this for 1 year and it is the best, far better than the Audible app. Vast customization and native sound boosting that works better than apps designed for audio bossting. The equalizer is big help for older, lower quality audiobooks. I can usually remove all muddiness and static from older audiobooks with a few adjustments and get a crisp mid and high and cut low.

I love this app. It's so easy to use, and it never gives me any guff. Audible is cool and all, but you can only listen to what you purchase from that app, whereas this app lets you listen to files you've acquired from other platforms. I've been using the free version for years. I just purchased the full version for $2!! that's it! it has more features than I'll ever use. I just wanted to search for a book cover. That was worth the $2 to me, on it's own.

Bought the full version for 1.99. Worth it! The app lets you stream audiobooks from your device. This app allows me to: - change to dark mode - change the settings on my earbuds so I can rewind/forward by double tapping - organize my audiobooks - take notes - bookmark - change the covers - change reading speed - set a sleep timer - rewind/forward from the cover screen of my flip 5 - sort by new/reading/completed I tried a lot of different apps. This one is pretty much perfect! Never change pls

I still love this app, but on my S22 Ultra, the sound doesn't come out of the speaker. Instead, it comes out of the ear speaker, so in order to hear a book, I either have to turn it up super loud or look like I'm on the phone. Thank you! Changing decoder fixed it.

Absolutely amazing audio book player, been using it since the pandemic and it has every feature you could want and in a fairly straightforward UI set up. Bought the premium version after only a few days because some of the features i really wanted were only available that way, and small price for such a good product. Not to mention it's still getting updates and bug fixes!
