Initial review. Looks minimalistic but has many options in settings. Overall UI could be better. But not a deal breaker. Tts is good enough. But I just can't manage to import Pocket via Instapaper as it was mentioned in support pages. Not sure how to link Instapaper to this app. Or Pocket. I tried the option of Sync to Pocket option also, found in the settings. But no list was synced or downloaded. If anyone knows, Pls help.

Appears good at first, but voice selection is complicated and you can't see/hear which voice will be used to export audio. Sync via 'Pocket' ... is a bit of a con - after going to the trouble of syncing one device with Pocket and believing that the others will sync as well once you set them up, you are asked to pay. Would be good to make it clear from the outset that it's a premium feature. I would probably pay if that included the Windows app as well and syncing was more robust.

I have the pro version. I expected more of it. I often use it with AO3 but the sharing option doesn't work well (shows wrong text etc) Meanwhile @voice app never has that problem. Same with being able to select text and let it read aloud is easier with @voice. The only reason I use this app is because the voice is a lot less robotic. It has a lot of potential

So far, not bad. I wish there was a way to import or add websites in bulk or to read. the sync to pocket does not seem to work properly. I was hoping to use this app to read web novels (some are hundreds and thousands of pages). So the current option or process to add even one page is too cumbersome. If there was a way to import or add sites in bulk or a little easier, this would be an easy 5 rating and would definitely push it to the web novel community.

This free app so far is one of the better ones I've found, it does what it's supposed to, the voice isn't as highly annoying as other apps, it's simple and easy to use, no adds, no weird things going on like jumping paragraphs, or randomly closing down or freezing, doesn't make you give bank details or make you do a free trial. It's by no means fancy with different voices and accents, just simple and does the job. I like it and recommend it.

This app is bugged on my s22 Ultra. Every time I click on settings, the voice randomly changes. Also, the voice will suddenly change throughout the reading. It's also hard to distinguish which voice to choose from as they're all basically named the same thing in a large voice list from your phone, so it's difficult to find the ones you like unless you memorize the exact spot. While I appreciate the owner's efforts, how can you not expect people to leave bad reviews if it doesn't work properly?

To put it bluntly, this app is good, but the kinks need to be worked out. To give some backstory about my experience with books, I have a hard time keeping my attention with them to the point where I would have to rely on an audiobook to have someone read the book for me. Problem is, I started listening to full-cast audiobooks, and as a result, I have trouble listening to single-narrated audiobooks. But being a user of the Kindle and using their ebooks, with some audiobooks, they not only offer books in ebook form, but can also offer the audiobook at a reduced price, and when you own both of them, if you just want to read the book but need help following along, the Kindle will highlight the word of the audiobook is saying to you, and it's helped me follow along the story of my choice. But the problem with that method, is that not every book has an audiobook, and for those that do, it can hurt your wallet after awhile. I will not mention another app that I have been using before I found this one, but I was looking for an alternative to this certain app I've been using before this one, and while it did what it was supposed to do, my trial run was about to run out and they were asking for a very high subscription price that I couldn't afford. So doing some window shopping, I found this app, and after taking a test run, it did everything I wanted it to do, to the point where I automatically made the jump and bought the full version of this app and have been using it ever since. Now here's where the kinks come in, when I first started using the app, there were times where the word that was supposed to be narrated by the app would not be highlighted and I didn't know why it wouldn't, but I eventually found a workaround to that problem. I figured out that the words would only be highlighted if a female voice did it and not a male one, but I picked out en-US-language English out of the dropbox, as opposed to Random (Prefer High Quality), and it works without any problems. Now here's another problem I'm having with this app, sometimes when I open a book I want to read, the app will not open the book no matter how many times I click on the book title. I have to restart the app multiple times until I can get it to open the book. This is obviously gonna have to be something that you guys are gonna need to fix down the road. Other than not opening the book until I restart it a few times, this will become my new app for reading books down the road. Thank you.

Great start on this speech app. I like that I can move my articles onto an audio format. I can now do chores while getting caught up on the news. Some cons, It is the 1990s, not one thousand nine hundred and ninety S. It doesn't do acronyms very well. For example, FBI becomes FuhBuy. It seems to have difficulty with telling the main article from the picture description/explanation. I feel that this is a good start, and I will improve my score as they get some of those issues addressed.
