LeagueApps Play is a team management and communications app that is totally free for players, parents, coaches, staff, and admins to download––and it's ad-free too.You just need to be registered to a team or tournament supported by LeagueApps to use the Play app to view schedules and notifications, RSVP, send communications, and more. Simply sign in to the app with the same email and password credentials used when you registered for the team.
Anyone can search for and follow publicly available tournaments—no login required. Family, friends, fans, recruiters, officials, etc. can find tournaments, follow their teams, view schedules and standings, and get push notifications for any game changes, and more.
Play helps coaches and admins better manage their teams, communications, games and events—providing a better sports experience for parents and athletes! The app automatically syncs schedules, rosters, tournament brackets, and more, directly from LeagueApps, so there's no double data entry or extra maintenance required.
Designated Coaches and Staff can use the Play app to:
- Communicate high priority coach announcements which will be sent as emails and push notifications, and displayed as alerts in the app (so no one misses them!)
- Create and manage games and events, with instant notifications
- Add custom locations and include external teams when adding games and events

Admins can also stay on top of attendance by sending RSVP reminders and checking-in athletes. If the admin is also a coach and/or parent, they switch between these roles

SEPT. 12, '24 UPDATE: This app continues to be the bane of my existence. I have compatibility issues every time an update loads. Currently can't see the entire schedule. An update must have just loaded...and it's not compatible with Androids apparently. App is stuck on "need an update" screen. Uninstalled and reinstalled three times now, updated phone software, cleared data and cache, and still can't get in. Can't back out of the update screen or get to the log in screen. Pretty much useless.

The latest update is terrible. When a notification come through(not always does a notification pop up). I cannot see what is said. I have to log out and back in to see any messages. Many others on the team have the same issues. If this was fixed it would be a better app and would get more stars.

Horrible app, stuck with it for a couple years now. Issues with the schedule and getting messages; eventually figured out need to regularly logout. The online portal wouldn't let me register. After tons of troubleshooting with LeagueApps, I figured out don't use Chrome, brought it to their attention and the next year they still didn't fix the issue. This year I registered in the portal and payed our club outside the portal, the app is filling my inbox with nonpayment emails, no solution.

If it isn't already frustrating enough to have the refreshing issues, and very very little functionality, like no sign up functions, you update the app to give more functionality to RSVPs and "pause" the standings tab? I'm consistently surprised by the lack of awareness of what customers want. If you need help, here's the answer. A team should be able to download this app and see everything. Be able to sign up their team, add players to the team, see games coming up, and their standings.

Completely stopped working. Every time I open it, it says there is a network issue and to verify my network. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and now it says the same thing when I try to sign in. This app is a mess and barely works. The chat feature doesn't even notify you when messages are sent in the team group chats

Ever since the new Android version rolled out, I'm unable to see player roster info as I did before. It's very frustrating as a coach that I have no access to player information and dangerous in an emergency situation. The app has always been glitchy and I had to install and reinstall it often in order for it to update properly. Please fix this issue. I was told it was top priority, but it has been unusable for over a month and fall season has started.

This app is not maintained very well. I've had to uninstall and reinstall this app in order to get it to work. This is an inconvenience and rather frustrating as well. I can also say it's up to whichever organization using this app to keep it up to date and make sure that information is correct and fluid for users who are told to download this app to follow along with upcoming teams event. As a coach, I personally use other apps that are more detailed and useful.

Constantly glitching, giving error messages, and chat threads won't load. Notifications lag, sometimes not showing up for hours difference between my husband and my separate devices. Now old chat threads won't delete at all. Support is always friendly and quickly responsive, but never has a corrective action other than "un-install and re-install" (which I have to do, sometimes weekly, to get the app to work properly!) If it were up to me, the whole club would use a different app entirely.
