There was a recent update of the app which broke the connection to my surface headphones 2, completely. Regardless if they are in pairing mode, or if they are already connected to the phone (via the BT settings) they don't appear in the surface app. You would think a software company (the biggest one in the world, actually) would test before a major update release. 'sigh'

Needs Rapid Development The app doesn't let you prioritize devices. If I'm on a skype call on a computer and get a scam call on my phone, the app automatically switches to the phone. Battery life in the app has never shown more than 18 hours (20 advertised) and the level indicator still isn't full after charging overnight. The notification that is supposed to show when your headphones are connected is hit or miss. It often needs to be cleared and the app needs to be manually restarted.

A good start, but could be a bit better. The EQ does have a very noticeable impact on the sound which is a good thing, but it needs more granular controls. I wish you can change ANC level from the home screen instead of navigating through the settings. Also, like EQ, the ANC control in the app should have more granular control instead of just 3 options. Overall the app checks most of the boxes but I think there can be more features added easily.

It does provide an overview of the headphones’ settings and allows you to adjust some of them... Main issue: One is unable to change the headphones’ language (the app recommends using a PC with USB-cable, but there the similar app just outright lies and pretends not to find an Internet connection; but even if you select to change the language via Bluetooth, nothing happens).

New Surface headphones 2. I tilt my head a certain way (workout) and the audio pauses by itself. Some sort of gimmick. Also the touch area is too sensitive for my liking. The playback stops when it touches my shoulder or the side of my gaming chair. The multi device support has gotten better. I pause the audio on one device, then start playing on the other and the headphones catch up in about 2 seconds

Keeps disconnecting the Surface Headphones from my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. What a bummer. But works with Desktop. Edit: After digging through google, I found a solution to work with an android phone. It turns out you have to shorten your phone's name in order to work with it. What an inconvenience! You have the best software engineers of the world, Microsoft, and you can't fix this irritating issue? What's going on? Almost returned the headphones.

I love the headphones and like the app especially the eq, I wish there was a way to keep some voice promps on and some others off instead of just one toggle button for all of them. For example I really like how when you turn the headphones on it tells you how many hours of battery life is left, but I don't want it to tell me all the noise cancelling info cause I can just use the tones to determine that and the voice can get in the way of the ambient sound. Maybe in a software update?

They are ok...could be better. Sound, battery, and comfort are good but the features are minimal to say the least. The pass through audio is awful and sounds like you're under water. Clicking the mute button says "muted" and stops the audio on your call...it takes like 3 seconds but you could easily miss someone saying your name on a call. Also, there should be periodic beeps reminding you are muted. Lastly, there should be a way to turn off ANC completely (surface headphones 2)
