Force your audio output to switch to headphones, speakers, or any other output, including USB and Bluetooth devices. The microphone can also be switched, and on most devices the speaker can be completely muted if you so desire.
Additional features:
Widgets, Quick-setting tiles, and notification shortcuts.
Auto-Switch: Detect when headphones are inserted or removed, and switch to any audio output or mute/unmute the speaker automatically.
Restore-on-Boot: Automatically switch to the output of your choice when your device starts.
Common use cases:
This app can help if your device does not detect your headphones, or it thinks they are connected even when they have been removed.
It can also be used to mute the speaker when using headphones, so that loud notifications do not play via the speaker.
Want to use a headset microphone but still output audio via the speakers? also possible.
You can force audio to play locally on your device when using Android's native cast-screen feature.
Android 11 support:
Due to changes to made Android, this app cannot function on Android 11 and later.
There is now a native output-selection option found in the volume panel, which provides some of the functionality previously offered by this app.
Advanced users can trigger a switch externally using the following intent actions:
com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch.HEADPHONES
com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch.SPEAKER
com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch.BLUETOOTH
com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch.USB
com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch.CAST
com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch.MUTE
com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch.UNMUTE
com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch.NOTIFICATION_ON
com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch.NOTIFICATION_OFF
On Oreo 8.0 and later you must also specify the target package when using intents: com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch

This really helped! I broke my headphone jack in my phone and, in my attempt to get it out, I jammed it further in making it impossible to change the setting on my phone. I thought all hope was lost and I'd have to get a new phone. But no! It works perfectly with everything. And it doesn't give you random ads either. All around great app. Thank you!

My phone jack is broken on my phone. I have tried multiple apps to try and get my phone to switch audio from headphones to my speaker. Some apps work, some don't. This one worked the best, but there's still a problem. I can't use my internal microphone for some reason. I have tried different settings on this app, and it still doesn't work. Other than that, the app looks good visually, and I like that there are many different options of where to switch the audio.

App does its job, but most useful functionality is hidden behind a paywall, including some rather basic features that ought to be free. Also, found it doesn't work with QC25, it mutes voices WAY more than other audio, amplifies music, so you can't hear anything if there's background music, even at max volume needed to hear speech at all. I suspect it's related to another problem, keeping internal mic while using headphones almost muting all audio. Still needs some refining, but a great concept!

I need an app that can route audio. Inputs and outputs being customized. I want to control which input is being used and which output is being used. This app has an interface that looks like it can do those things but the"buttons" don't act as buttons. They're not selectable. I really want to buy the full version but I can't justify a purchase because I don't think this app does what I need.

This app's a lifesaver for busted/old phones. The only improvement I'd really suggest is: when you tap the Speaker/Headphones buttons, there's almost no visual sign you're tapping it (the dark blue button BARELY lightens for a second), so I can't tell if I hit the button to change the input or missed it on my screen-- it would be SO much more helpful if the button flashed yellow or some bright colour for a second, to make it obvious that you selected it. Would bump my review to 5 stars if fixed.

It was ok. The latest update adds the buttons back to the notification, as it was before it became a $5 app. Unfortunately the buttons don't switch between the modes, but take you to the app with a pay button. Now I understand they'll respond saying how they have expenses, well, $5 is a price for an actually useful app (e.g. aquamail), not something that needs a lot of work and had minimal functionality.

This app is awesome. Unfortunately the Auto ON/OFF switch doesn't seem to do anything on my HTC U Play. The headphones connect/disconnect does not automatically change audio source. I am a also a developer and am looking forward to help you debug or provide more information about this if you would be kind enough to take a look :)

Awesome! thanks. my phone started to think that headphones are unplugged. Now everything is fixed. (05.03.20)Edit: widgets are now a premium feature, now you need to go inside the app itself to switch. It's kinda strange and scummy in a way to downgrade apps and lock previously available features behind paywall. But it's still works flawlessly so... IDK, just disappointed a bit.
