I've been using this app in lieu of Samsung notes for years. I use it to digitally plan, and journal. While Samsung notes has some features Penly does not have like recognize handwriting and align or convert to text after you've handwritten notes. (Penly does allow handwriting to text but you have to select the option first.) However, I find this app more intuitive and easier to use when Journaling. With the updates just released, the app now rivals Goodnotes, functionality and I love it.

I wish I had known about this app before... I've been using this for about a month and I'm digging it! I love that it came with free planners! The portrait planner looks so good when I pull it up on my phone! I love that it syncs. LOVE the sticker folders! The ability to download different fonts. The only thing that would make this app more amazing is if we could paste stickers from native keyboard. Amazing app for the price!!!

Although I do love the features of this app, but there are some real flaws. I've been using this for more than a year now, so I've given it a good shot. Unfortunately it is extremely glitch. I'll be adding notes to a planner and then it will freeze the entire tablet. Often the screen will begin moving on its own and won't stop opening random pages until I shut down the tablet. Even just closing the app doesn't work. I also wish it would sync across devices. The available feature does not work.

It's a good app with a lot of potential. Hoping they will add ability to copy and paste text both within and external to the app. E.g copying and pasting text from Penly into your browser or into your calendar app. Also, on android, if you're using a Happy Downloads planner with Google calendar links, Penly doesn't open the links with your Google calendar app. It only opens into a web browser and then you have to login to Google from the browser.

Everything is OK, but they market that this could be used as Notes for school. Unfortunately, there is no way to take notes while recording your lectures. Yes you can take notes but no there is no voice recording. I also agree that this is highly customizable but things are buried. I'm surprised that they don't have some sort of quick menu that could be toggled on by your pen to do simple changes like pick a new color or switch pen types. Needs improvement to beat samsung notes, or goodness.

I love this planner app so very much. It surpasses Samsung Notes with how much you can customize. I have a Note 9, Android 10, and UI 2.5. Pros: the level of customization; importing fonts; creating links. Cons: not very intuitive (some options are hidden in certain tools). ❤Please let us create appointment/event links to our calendars! P.S. If you had the same problem as me where you couldn't use your finger, calibrate your finger instead of the SPen (thanks to customer service for the help)!

The app is great! Much better on a tablet than on a phone but that's expected. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to password protect my planner. If this feature was available the app would be nearly perfect! EDIT: One more thing I would love to see is a wiget with the ability to add my active planner to the home screen without having to open the app.

I really like the App, I don't like to buy apps but this one is worth it, it is fun, easy to understand and use...To add a couple of things would be awesome: voice recording and planner shortcut (widget) in main screen... I tried to use the line tool in the shape section and doesn't draw anything, the rest works perfect, I don't know if it is because I use the app in my phone
