Honestly amazing. The app is basically a pop up dictionary for reading, and it doesn't really have any bugs from what I've seen. Some stuff is preselected and categorized by genre and reading level. if you want to read a book that isn't on the app, you can search for it on baidu or Google. there's also a flash card feature that i don't use much but seems to be functional. i would love to see this app for other languages. That would be exceptional.

I love how you can tap on any word and it translates it right away. Best feature is that it translates compound words and phrases, since Chinese is a language where a word's meaning depends on what it's combined with. The free features are sufficient to enable you to read an entire novel and not paying for it isn't an obstacle to using the app. There are no intrusive ads - it pops up briefly when the book is loading but then disappears and does not interfere with the reading. Excellent!

Customer support is helpful and prompt! Update: best learning app! Good for acquiring vocabulary, grammar, and practice all at once!! The premium version, imo, is worth it for the quiz mode alone but the translation mode is also super helpful.

For people who want to try reading chinese not in a textbook, this is THE app. Pinyin can be on or off, and if you need to learn a new word you can just tap on it. Right now this is my go-to app for self-studying. Would recommend for those who have passed HSK4- most of the content requires a fairly broad vocabulary to read coherently.

Please add a sync across multiple devices option! I love the fact that I can read Chinese novels while having a pop up dictionary for words I don't know. I do wish there was more variety and I've found multiples of the same novels. I wish for there to be a voice over feature for the dictionary.

I luckily found a story I really like and I'm completely hooked. Being able to tap the characters I don't know to get a pop up dictionary is absolutely wonderful and lets me read a bit above my actual level and learn some new characters. The trick is finding a story you like. The blurbs are only sometimes helpful and stories often show up multiple times. I read a ton in English, and now that Readibu helps me read in Chinese, I'm quite optimistic about improving my Chinese.

Hidden resource! I end up reading Chinese webnovels with google translate or on PC with a popup dictionary. This makes it easier to focus on the individual words. However, it's not for complete beginners. Add what you like reading and practice advanced Mandarin while you enjoy reading!

Honestly incredible. Probably the most effective app for improving your Chinese reading skills. Personally, it's the only app that I find really useful for learning Chinese once you've already achieved basic proficiency with the language. I can't recommend it enough.
