For my Moto G7 the correct control file is /sys/class/power_supply/battery/battery_charging_enabled. Unfortunately the app does not prevent my phone from charging when the limit is reached. It may be due to LineageOS 20 being installed, the OS now seems to overwrite the file by itself, so the app has no effect any more. I found that an alternative app named "Battery Charge Limit [ROOT]" does the trick: it seems to monitor the control file and change the value again when the OS tries to take over

Used to do the job very well, but keeps crashing in the BG since the upgrade to android 13. Uninstall and reinstall could not fix it, so I keep waking up with 100% battery most mornings. Would upgrade to 5* when fixed. (Update) Dropped from 4 to 3 stars, it stopped working on android 14. I see it was not updated for almost 2 years. I hope I find a replacement...

The app works a bit differently from what I would expect. At the top threshold, it doesn't seem to be stopping the charging completely, but instead continues trickle-charging, so the battery level is kept at the set value. That's fine by me, as long as it doesn't continue charging past the threshhold. During that trickle-charge at the threshold level the charging current in the Status window still shows full value, which is incorrect. A minor issue for me. Thanks for the usedul app! 👍

The new version does not work for S20FE with Android 13. I'm still using version 2.3. Overall this is a great app that my phones can't live without. Sometimes I use the phone to connect the internet to my computer (for faster speed on 4/5G) and this app helps the battery charge cycle between two values instead of fully charging my phone.

I am using this app for my A9 2018 already rooted running Android 10 and it works fine. My concern is when the charging stops (i set it up at 80%), my flashlight doesn't work anymore. The only way to bring flashlight capability back, is to wait for the battery falls down and start charging again, remove charger before 80%, then only flashlight will work again. Hopefully this can be fix, as I use flashlight on daily basis.

With the latest update it doesn't even open. Crashes upon launching. 😐 Edit: tried that twice already. I was using this on an Asus Zenfone 2 that's running Android 7. But even then it just crashes on launching. It was pretty good too. I could leave my phone plugged in for days with battery running between 50-55%.

The software is very good It really works. Access to root is required. There is a problem when I disconnect the charger and disconnect the connection cable, if I want to reconnect the phone to the charger, the phone will not charge and I must enter the software and disable it to activate the charge and this The problem must be solved. Thanks to the developer of this application

Does this work with SuperSU? Or just Magisk? I can't believe I finally found this app! I use 3 rooted Android phones as Zello intercoms in our house, like we had when I was growing up. But charging phones 24-7 makes their batteries warp and swell. So I tried outlet timers and even wifi outlets, but never had exact results. But then I discovered this app and wow, problem solved! Thank you for making this great app! FYI My phones are rooted Moto E4s on Android 7 and Moto E5s on Android 8.
